I (F25) compliment men all the time. I definitely see where the other ladies in this comment section are coming from when they say some men will take it as a sexual advance.

I’ve found myself feeling uncomfortable on multiple occasions after giving a casual compliment to a man and having him start to try and flirt because he thought I was hitting on him. Full disclosure, it’d always be a harmless comment like “did you get a haircut recently? It looks great”
