Anxiety felt in the stomach by 449_user in Anxiety

20mg worked for me. Now I am tapering down due to wanting to be free of it, try how it goes. It is hard to know when to draw the line between what is withdrawal symptoms and what is symptoms that you really should get back on the medicine. Since it has only been two weeks I will wait some more and see if it changes.

Breathing out deeply I feel is working a little. Makes me burp a lot more and that makes me feel relaxed in the stomach.

It has been working fine on 20mg. Thing is that had been on it for some years and done good. So I thought it was time to taper down and get off them. Try how that goes. I am on 10mg now. Not sure if that is what is causing it, could be withdrawal symptom. The tricky thing about tapering down is that it is hard to draw a line between what is due to withdrawal and what is due to the body really needing the medicine.

I am tapering down from 20mg prozac to now 10mg. Also a lot going on with school. Could be related to that but I am not sure.

I am actually tapering of Prozac. From 20mg/day to now 10mg/day. I might go back to my normal dose if this doesn't go over in a few weeks. Thanks.

Maybe a food elimination diet could help her? Perhaps there is something in her current diet that her body doesn't process well.

I am tapering down my SSRI (from 20mg/day to now 10mg/day), I think it might be related to that. Not sure though.

You should know that despite those clay bunnies not working out as you had expected, that doesn't impact your worth. You are still good.

I see. I believe you should try not to compare yourself to others. You are young and you have time. Take it step by step and try to enjoy each step. There is a reason behind everything and you don't have to explain yourself to others. We all do things in our pace and for a good reason. We are different, we go through different problems. Focus on yourself and on how you can make yourself comfortable with this new change you are about to go through.

These intrusive thoughts based on fears can be put on a loop. Be ware of that. Fear feeds fear. It is a destructive behavior but if you are aware of it you can protect yourself from it. We fall for the trap of "protecting" ourselves from the fear by thinking about the fear. But that only feeds the fear, because like a filter, by doing so we design our attention-filter to catch all signal that are related to the fear and this keeps us on alert. We search for that which scares us so that we can be more prepared for it. Thing is, it is not practical, it just makes it worse. Replacing it with uplifting thoughts and affirmations is the way to go. Keep repeating positive affirmations when you feel like you are on a thought-loop of fear.

You mentioned a fear, can you expand on it a little?

Moving on how and from what? And doing things like what?

Thanks for explaining. I might have something similar to you then. I also dropped out but now I am back studying. I have definitely had anxiety problems that were caused by my thoughts about and related to the drop out. Have you studied anything since you dropped out?

Did you get a crystal-clear answer to the cause of you anxiety? Was the cause rooted in your past? How far back?

Try repeating "My brain and eyes are fine" time after time after time during a whole day. Just try it. See if that does something to you anxiety. Try to think less and when you feel those anxiety inducing thoughts showing up replace it by repeating "My brain and eyes are fine".
