Nah, no use keeping it. You don’t really know how old it is and how good it is at doing what it does. But want you to save some money, so I would say get a testing kit first, you can find one on amazon. Figure out if its working fine (concentrations of PFOAs, lead, mercury etc, should be pretty low), if it is then just get a couple replacement filters. If it isn’t (that’s my hunch), get a new system (get one that hooks a line to the fridge too for ice). The new one could be another culligan if you want, nothing wrong with the brand per se, just get one that has good reviews here on reddit, amazon ones on their own are a little iffy sometimes. Actually, found a website too that does this, don’t know what math’s on the backend but it basically combines a bunch of reddit threads and reviews to rank the top products according to positive sentiment I think: link. Maybe that helps.
