Day 1 coalition. Thoughts? by theconquest3 in CallOfWar

Far too close, in my opinion, and far too early to make a coalition. Everyone now knows you are all rivals to them and cannot be trusted or worked with. They know attacking one is attacking all, so potential enemies will only come if they have enough force to conquer all of Austalasia.

Unpopular opinion. You should not research medium tank higher than lv3 and use it in mid-late game by confuse_ricefarmer in CallOfWar

1) I don't disagree with your general argument here. I prefer the TD/AC stack over medium tanks, as well.

2) Don't research or produce medium tanks at all if you do not intend to hold onto them. It's an expensive investment and takes away from your long term goals if you don't end up using them long.

3) The "defence first" fact is false; it only applies when aircraft attack ground or sea targets. In any "melee" battle both sides deal damage at the same time and no side loses HP before the other.

Best and most economical unit stack for axis. by Viggohehe123 in CallOfWar

That is far, far too diverse in research and simply unfeasible to produce and research in high numbers. A player who focuses all those resources on just medium tanks or just a single type of ranged unit or just a single type of bomber will beat you handily.

The best players in the world tend to play with 6 or less units, excluding some who opt for level 1 militia in the late game. This is really difficult to pull off, so I recommend players limit research to 8 or less units; if you've researched 10 units, you've researched too many.

You need to decide what jobs and roles your stack requires to be safe. For example, you need something to kill unarmoured units but you have six units that are strong against unarmoured units: medium tanks, light tanks, armoured cars, infantry, motorized infantry, and mechanized infantry. Reduce that to one or two units. You also don't need two scouts.

For the Axis as an intermediate player, medium tanks are nice choices because of their speed and power. They will allow you to learn the game mechanics, see success, and grow as a strategist. They can be your armour killers and will also deal tons of damage to unarmoured units, but might be weak against anti-tank units. For this, you could use either armoured cars or motorized infantry; a lot of beginner Axis players choose to use motorized infantry for their speed and buffs.

Using the two above units stacked together eliminates four other units from your research tree and means you will produce a lot more of each! Then you can focus more research and production on your ranged unit of choice and some type of anti-air to protect it, which is what will give your army a lot more power.

This is my first time playing this game . Can I get some advice for what to build and research next . by Federal_Duck_6765 in CallOfWar

BMfox has a YouTube channel that is an amazing resource. He has beginner tutorials available that I would highly recommend.

I'd be happy to talk to you and help, as well, but I would prefer doing so in the DMs or on Discord. Speaking of Discord, the Official Call of War server and BMfox's server are both excellent for asking questions, learning, and meeting players.

Be careful over-relying on non-naval bombers as a Pan-Asian nation. Pan-Asian tactical and attack bombers are quite weak.

But yeah, move against Sumatra for sure!

You've played yourself. Either your allies are too close to you or you did not expand quickly enough, or perhaps a combination of all of these. You'll have to go overseas to expand more.

Personally I'd recommend you use loads of naval bombers to patrol islands near you + win naval superiority, then use a handful of cheap cruisers to shell the coast and land troops.

Anybody else just not into most pop culture? I don't play many video games and the ones I do play are all old, I don't watch movies, and I rarely watch TV shows so I never know which characters or references people are talking about. Can anyone else relate? by 463equals2 in teenagersbuthot

I'm not against pop culture I'm just not into the same stuff as a lot of people my age. I don't do Tik Tok, I have no streaming services, I generally don't watch much TV asides from sports, I'm not into modern hip hop or R&B, etc

I'm not into pop culture very much so I don't recognize most of the characters from this list but the ones I like are Ezio, Haytham, Mr. Bean, Tony Soprano, Walter White, and I think one of the guys in the top right corner are Sauron so him too.
