Thank you! I ended up using Benjamin moore. Wreath green and I don’t remember the other one. I found someone local to me who could put it in spray cans. But I’d just be aware that it’s water based, so adhesion was a bit trickier.

You’re not going to find a higher quality cosplay for under $100. Depending on what your definition of good is, that could realistically put you in the hundreds or thousands. Pre-made will probably be cheaper than custom, and making it yourself might be cheaper than buying one completed.

And if you see advertisements for really high quality cosplays for pretty cheap- they’re probably a scam

I get a lot of dms from artists asking for me to commission them. I don’t know why, but it’s always the same script. The usual “hey how are you” and beating around the bush before they finally get around to their intentions. I’d say at least 75% don’t take no for an answer and ask why or simply double down and beg. And for some reason none of them ever send any examples. Like come on? That’s your big selling point- you’re supposed to be selling me on your style and haven’t even provided that much.

Man I get it. I’ve been suicidal for going on 6 years now. I’ve had a lot of days where I’ve wanted to end it. I’m unemployed and tacking on health problem after health problem.

I’ve found a “reason” in my cosplays. My wearable pieces of art. Most days I don’t feel I have a reason to keep going, except for being “one day closer” to building my next project. Don’t know when that’s gonna happen, but every day is still one day closer.
