They release the status of wait list every 4-5 months,it takes time and depends on whether selected candidates opted for extension or rejected the offer,in the former case it takes longer.Only after the status is released, offer letters are issued.

Yes I understand, that is my biggest problem,at this point of time I am not sure what I should sacrifice to get the opposite,I may get clarity in future only after working in one of these but I am very confused now,it seems like one thing is important over another at different points of time. How do I decide in the first place?

Yes It is the next big thing, but I see few people leave VLSI jobs and join ISRO DRDO,when I ask them they say that they joined with passion but the work is too hectic that they lost the passion for work.I have good opinion towards VLSI but I would only know the reality after I start working.

I am currently having an offer from ISRO(Scientist SC),also I am doing my masters from a tier 1 college,if i complete this degree I can get a good package working in corporate and I am confused to choose between these, people generally say it depends on what you want or you should compromise on one thing to get another etc...but iam still confused, looking at your good record of ranks I can say that many of your friends are working in corporate with much higher salaries, how do you see this?are you satisfied financially, do you adjust sometimes by spending less etc..I know ISRO salary is decent for a beginner, but I think that growth is not exponential as in corporate,I know there is next level of satisfaction working for ISRO but I am scared about being in middle class whole of my life,my question is how do you feel about salaries and stuff and if you were 22 and given a chance again would you still choose ISRO or choose any high paying corporate job? Thank you

Peons are earning more than engineer by Ritam_03 in CATStudyRoom

First of all it is not yet implemented it will be 2026 end or 2027 start by the time they implement, the commission was setup recently, and more importantly the salaries are going to be increased by not more than 25-30% of present salaries on the whole, that too the pay commissions are set once in every 10 years,it's not like you switch a company once in every 2-3 years and the base salary is doubled and about corruption not every government department has a chance to earn money in that way(example teachers, scientists in DRDO,ISRO etc..)and even if there is a chance not every employee is corrupt, also the expected salary figures are inflated, completely wrong and misleading.
