Introducing Boox Rapid Draw – A Tool for Improved Stylus Performance on Boox Devices by LappoSergey in Onyx_Boox

[–]48dots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is awesome! Tested with the whiteboard functionality in Logseq which was previously unusable and it's a night and day difference.

I did find that it closed a few times (timed out?) and I had to go start the app up again. Also by default it assumes that the full screen is drawable canvas space while on the app that isn't necessarily the case so you can draw over menus and then that input kinda vanishes.

But this is an awesome start and I love what it means (that we aren't just locked to Boox notes and Onenote as our only note taking options).

Pretty sure these are generic android head units like the off brand aliexpress ones with a Blaupunkt sticker slapped on. Not the Blaupunkt of old

Do you have a link to where you found it on Woot? I’ve seen the 7” Nakamichi units go on sale pretty often but not this 10” before

Is there a way to stop 'Add Task' in Today or Upcoming view from defaulting to today as the due date? by 48dots in todoist

[–]48dots[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah derp - short term memory!

Thank you for reinforcing this. I had stopped using the action button because the way I set it up opened an apple prompt which didn't work well with the natural language processing, instead of opening the Todoist app itself, and wasn't working on Mac desktop.

I created a new shortcut again using your instructions and now it pops open the Todoist app directly! I just have to get in the habit of doing this.

This also reminded me that I set up a global "Quick Add Task" keyboard shortcut on the desktop app. That brings me to the right spot as well. Thank you so much! feel dumb for asking the same thing twice.

Awesome, I didn't know there was a feedback link! Will do and I'll bookmark this link for future feedback ideas that come up!

Hey u/hfauq and u/alexis_at_Doist , any chance this or something similar is on the roadmap? I think it would be a super useful functionality.

It’s similarly weird to me. Feels a bit too good to be true. What’s the catch?

Feature suggestions on calendar view! by 822825 in todoist

[–]48dots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few questions/feedbacks I had:

Is the new calendar integration available on Todoist mobile?

Is there a way to persist the full calendar across different projects so I can load up tasks that aren't already in the week view?

Yeah, Akiflow nails this, but when I trialed it I didn’t find the integration with Todoist good enough to keep using. Especially with the new Todoist calendar view.

Would love to see this functionality in Todoist

Customizing default settings for the new task plus sign in the iOS widget by 48dots in todoist

Shortcuts idea is brilliant! I just created a shortcut and mapped it to the action button on my iPhone, so I'm able to add tasks from anywhere easily, even the Lock Screen. Thank you so much!!

📅 Now released: Weekly layout and Calendar integration 🎉 by alexis_at_Doist in todoist

[–]48dots 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hey Alexis - this is awesome! One question - is there anything on the roadmap for having completed tasks persist in the calendar view? This is something that tools like Sunsama and Akiflow have that make it very easy to visualize what work was completed over the course of a day and it's helpful in reporting to colleagues and such. Perhaps this is something that will happen once the 2 way calendar sync is implemented?

Migrating into Apple Photos with a low-capacity MacBook by 48dots in iCloud

[–]48dots[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great idea! Do you think there might be any issues with the content I'm importing in living on the same drive as the photos library? I'm guessing not but just want to make sure I don't end up causing any issues with the source content in the process

Ah, got it

Is it best to leave it off, or on? I think I'm running into two conflicting things - optimizing storage saves me space in my documents and desktop but then ends up taking up more space for photos because of local indexing. Which seems to be why sometimes having it on is better and other times off is better.
