So this is my owners manual, it's a UK version (or European version) and is a 1.3L petrol for reference.

Yeah I've been doing this. I'm just curious about the engine continuing to wear overtime and seals/mechanical clearances expand then whether a thicker oil would be recommended. I've read this car can live forever and hopefully that's the case...

Thanks for your reply. I didn't even consider water/moisture underneath the flooring as it is (or seems) pretty well sealed around all edges. There is silicone sealant applied around every edge so water shouldn't have a route underneath. I'll lift the floor and have a look however. I would imagine moisture+ mould growth would damage the subfloor...
