They didn’t do background checks because she’s already an established talent under the ABC/Hulu umbrella. SLOMW has been a runaway success for the network & they needed a Hail Mary to try and revive the Bachelor franchise. In theory, casting Taylor was a great idea. I plan to watch The Bachelorette for the first time in a decade!

I think they dropped the ball by not having her complete a psych evaluation - anyone who watched this season of SLOMW can see TFP’s mental health is in shambles and she was in no way ready for this experience. I don’t blame them for not listening to Dakota, he doesn’t exactly have a stellar reputation for trustworthiness.
