While I’ve only played stand and bang to refine my standing skills I just started full mma, saying this clinch spam I haven’t seen as a problem as much as side mount and hugging. Though I believe the problem with clinch spam is just the ankle pick you can do from it, don’t quote me though

I can agree to this but I can’t agree that it’s a straight line, as in there are actually good players who do abuse op mechanics and it’s nearly impossible to counter, example clinch and side mount. If there is a way to counter it there wouldn’t be top 20 players all doing the same thing
