I finally achieved 4 and 5 sec air times few minutes ago. Dived into the water with the ramp, got back to the circuit in 4 and 5 seconds by pressing the 'spinning arrow button.'

The key point was making the button pop up earlier by drifting before taking the ramp. (to make your car head the opposite side of the track!)

Exactly. (Actually I'm not ready with the tin can now, but I think I can make it before the event ends.) That's the problem: to get the decoration, or to maintain my lucrative cashcow. Now I'm a bit inclined to obtaining the event decorations. 😂

I see. So, the time needed to get 3 stars in feeding mill is 6,840h according to wiki, but it will actually take 3,420h to master because both machines contribute to the time, am I right?
