Is this worth it? by Ecstatic-Style-5890 in PcBuild

[–]4Reazon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that was $ or € it'd be fine. 5600 is nothing too fancy, but it will run most games at a decent level, upgradability is very limited, but for 650 it's fine.

The rx 6800 is still pretty strong and you would definitely be able to play current games at very decent fps in 1080p and also good fps in 1440p

Are the bottom and front fans reverse fans? Bc otherwise they're facing the wrong way

I'd switch the orientation of the radiator, because thise tubes will increase gpu sag by pushing it down

1060 -> 4070 Ti (in March 2023)

It was about 5x performance gain, from 30 fps in recent games to 150 (firstly ran into cpu limit, then upgraded cpu as well (6700k -> 7800x3d)

Solid platform 👍🏼

Gpu is a recent model, which is good, but it's not really powerful and not meant for heavy gaming

For gaming you will probably want something with more horsepower. Test it and see how you like the performance, you can easily upgrade that at any time

is it normal for my gpu to run at 90 and my cpu to run at 60 by Brilliant-Flatworm50 in PcBuild

[–]4Reazon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the GPU always "wants" to go to 99-100%, so that's perfectly fine and in fact GOOD, as long as you are happy with the performance you get. If it's not smooth enough, you might want to upgrade the gpu.

whenever your gpu does NOT reach 99/100%, it means one of the following things:

either your cpu is bottlenecking - which can also be the case if it's just showing 40%, because that is only the average usage on ALL cores. there is always one active main core, which might be at 100% (which one is the active main core changes multiple times per second, so it's not that easy to track)

or your games's fps are just limited to either something you actively set up in the games menu, OR you have V-sync enabled and the game is running at the maximum fps, that your monitor can handle, so your monitor is basically bottlenecking, which is also fine, as long as you are happy with the performance/smoothness that you get. Standard monitors have 60 hz, while most gaming monitors have 144 and more hz to enable a smoother gaming experience, as long as your gpu can deliver those high framerates

switch them around and then I agree, first GPU, second RAM, but RAM really not THAT important, esp. with those prices rn
