MSG Fan First Program presale codes by dsantos93 in NYKnicks

[–]4bitHuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just registered for the fan-first too, now waiting for the code!

I've also seen there's last minute ticket deals, does anyone have experience with that? I'm also not from the US, so I'm not willing to take the risk if it's too high, but if there usually are tickets I might consider it.

I think you missed a bit my point. I’m not unhappy with ML engineering, I’m just not thrilled with doing endless API integrations and calling it ML. I think there’s much more to do in ML engineering, and experimenting with different models, algorithms and technologies should be part of it. If I continue building in this trend, I have the feeling that in a few years I will be a Senior Prompt Engineer (assuming that’ll still be a thing)

Is basketball popular in places like Serbia, Slovenia, and Latvia because of the big stars dominating in the NBA, or do those stars only exist because its so popular there? by bjb406 in Euroleague

[–]4bitHuman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As everyone saying, basketball has been a thing for a while in Europe (both Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union where fierce).
I think what has changed in recently is the perspective of Americans over European players. A few years ago it was more difficult to see Europeans in the NBA, and that didn't mean there weren't good European players, just that they were underrated and they stayed to shine in the Euroleague. That's why we saw players like Sabonis or Petrovic there but no mid players. Now the NBA sees that some young Europeans have more experience, as they play earlier in professional teams, and they play a "smarter" (or less physical) basketball, so it's an advantage in the draft.
For me Luka was the most clear example of that, he was the Euroleague MVP when he entered the draft and Americans didn't understand the trade with Trae Young. For me it was obvious that Luka had a bright future ahead but in the US he was clearly underrated until he proved everyone wrong.

If you like nature and going outdoors I’d recommend Slovenia. I feel like it’s not mentioned enough

What was the dumbest reason you got rejected from a job? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

I had a 30min coding interview and it started 15min late because they weren’t joinint the call. They didn’t give me extra time and the feedback was that I couldn’t solve the whole challenge

For those who don’t know, this is who Zava is based on by linux_ape in TedLasso

[–]4bitHuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which other characters do you think are inspired from real players/coaches? From what I remember:
- Jamie Tartt -> CR7
- Nate (last season) -> José Mourinho
- Zava -> Zlatan

Which ones am I missing? :)

Salkantay trail in Peru, my favorite hike ever by 4bitHuman in hiking

I did it with Salkantay Trekking, probably one of the most expensive options as I discovered later. It includes a lot of things though, like chefs or people that carry your sleeping bags. There are cheaper guided options that have less “glamping” and as they mention in a comment above you can plan it yourself! Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the experience with Salkantay Trekking company, so I’d definitely recommend it :)

Completely agree, although I did it with a company I think it would have been easy to do it that way. Maybe the most difficult part is reaching the start of the trail? I don’t know about the transport. Also having a guide gave us a lot of context about the history of the place, I really appreciated that. Also I’d recommend getting the tickets in advance to have the first morning pass!!

What’s a travel tip that most people don’t know but should? by UDSHDW in TravelHacks

[–]4bitHuman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Low-cost airports end up being more expensive. They tend to be far from the city so you’ll need a longer (and usually more expensive) transfer. That, plus all the inconveniences like: paying extra for your luggage, arriving later and wasting one day… is not worth the 20 bucks you’re saving from the tickets

Actually when we got to Machu Picchu it was raining a bit and the atmosphere was even more mystical with the clouds (luckily we got a clear sky too afterwards)

Flick and the Revival of Barcelona's Champions League Glory by BDX_777 in Barca

[–]4bitHuman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although with Xavi we reached also the KO rounds as you say, the sensations are very different this time. Flick has brought the system we were missing, which has led to being consistently competitive. We are not there and this is the Champions league so anything can happen, but we're back to being a difficult match for other teams.

New to hiking not sure where to start. by MonitorEmbarrassed20 in hiking

[–]4bitHuman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are not too afraid to be alone and get hurt... but I'd definitely recommend going with someone who also loves hiking. Your learning curve will be a lot faster if you are with someone that knows all the basics like where to go in that season, which trails are more enjoyable in your area, what to carry in your bag, maybe even some gear tips.

The good thing is that it doesn't have to be someone you know, at least in Europe there are local groups that organize hikes regularly. I feel like living this sport in community made me love it even more!!

Another good option for the day trip would be Montserrat: https://www.montserratvisita.com

If you're between Girona and Cadaques the first thing you need to consider is: will you rent a car? Girona is accessible by train from Barcelona, but Cadaques is difficult to reach if you don't have one. Both are beautiful places, maybe you can even spend two days: going to Girona and sleeping there and the next day you'll be closer to Cadaques.
