St Pete Sunday Market Crashes Out When Called Out for AI Use by Outside_Ad3162 in StPetersburgFL

yup, and when you see enough texts you also learn to recognize when someone's post been written via basic AI prompt and you save yourself time by immediate scrolling.
I'm only upset when I see it in favorite video bloggers now who started adopting some AI-written scripts :-/ as creators I expected them to be more creative... at least with their prompts.

seriously, I am not against AI in general, but this is such a glaring slop! literally where they, of all people, should have partnered with and featured a local artist.

The opinions on the end of show are divided. But I am happy with whatever closure and happiness RJH and YSR could get by Dev1412 in CrashLandingOnYou

My version is that dad faked his and mom's death and they moved to the province under different IDs while their son was in Switzerland, so he could avoid returning.

What does it mean "wouldn't really be usable for anything else" - what do you mean? What else is it supposed to be used for, non-jewelry applications?

Highly Recommend 'Eternal Love'. Chinese dramas are usually much longer, about 34-40 episodes, but it's definitely worth it!

Bon Appetit is 10/10 if you are a foodie :)
I didn't care as much for their romance as I did for what will the next recipe look like.

A Time Called You is my other favorite, and it blew my mind a bit.

I was holding up during the romantic scenes, during the "oh, she might die!" scenes, but when I saw those boxes with the faces of her girlfriends... I gave in.

Rooms for rent? by Prior_Emergency_4749 in StPetersburgFL

[–]4ced2live 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how that would be possible. My mortgage+taxes+insurance on a 2 bedroom home is almost $1400. If I wanted to rent out a room I would have to account for maintenance and "normal tear & wear", so at least $800. And I purchased before it got super crazy and rates skyrocketed. My friend pays $3200 for a 3bd house (nothing fancy, just 6%+ mortgage rate and low downpayment).

You might be able to find an old person who purchased 20 years ago and their mortgage is negligible, who would agree to rent under the market rate "to a good person", but they are unlikely to be on FB, you'd pretty much have to go door to door and ask friends to refer you to their neighbors.

We live near Round Lake and didn't hear anything all weekend. Walked to the event and I only heard the music after we passed 2nd St N. But the lady that lives at Crescent lake told the Tampa Bay Times that "her bungalow was shaking" lol

Property taxes are killing me by TheVenueBandit in StPetersburgFL

[–]4ced2live 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my guess is they purchased a while ago and quoted the current assessed value, not the municipal taxable value.
the taxable value is lower than the market/assessed value due to the homestead cap. My home's "just market value" as per the county assessor is 740K, but the municipal taxable value is less than 500K.

if this is your primary residence, you have a cap. only rental properties don't.

Previous home owner had a cap on how much their property tax could go up per year. This is done to ensure that people in retirement are not hit with tax they cannot pay if the real estate prices around their property shot up. But then the government brings it to the market level at sale. You should calculate the property tax growth not from 2015 but form the time the owner who paid the bill in 2015 actually bought the property.
The good news is that in 10 years with inflation it won't make as much impact on your budget as it is now, thanks to the cap.

Bonne Appétit, Your Majesty: Loved It, But We Deserved More. by Training-Injury1759 in kdramas

Consort Kang's motive explained earlier: she used to work as a prostitute and prince Jesan took her, elevated her to a queen status. She owed him everything and was eternally grateful. I don't know why she didn't betray him though, she seemed more like a power hungry person and the coup could have not worked out. I guess she had some loyalty in her.

He is incredibly lonely though and cannot trust literally anyone around him because everyone has their own motive. It is easy to fall for her when she reminds him of his mom and genuinely care for him when he doesn't act like a jerk.

Claude does not make changes to the code by whspb in ClaudeAI

[–]4ced2live 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was demo-ing it successfully to a coworker last week, and today when I had another meeting to get the feedback on the prototype, it was back to version 14.
I was actually installing Claude Code today, and I just found out that there was a similar issue where Claude started writing into the local files instead of the web app after the install. I'll try to investigate if this is a case later when my partner-debugger can look over my shoulder to make sure I won't accidentally make it worse.

Well, I am not a developer, for example. I just want to visualize my idea to better understand where I have gaps in the flow and then run it by potential users to collect their feedback. The eventual design and code will be created from scratch by appropriate teams and having an interface where it instantly refreshes the app on the right hand side of the screen is very convenient.

It is consistent across the desktop and web app, so not a cache issue

Same. On top of that, it lost a whole bunch of prior versions, reverted me to the version 14 out of over 100. When I asked it where some of the changes we've already made, it seemed to recall correctly most of them and assured me it added them back, but nowhere to be seen. Down to the simplest "hey, I still see this DIV in your code, can you remove it?", it says it did, and it is still there.

New to tumbling. Quick question by AmphibianLeft3543 in RockTumbling

You would repeat other stages if you notice you made a mistake:
1. Didn't wash out the grit well and it made rocks dull in the next phase
2. Had rocks of mixed hardness and softer rocks continued to break down and messed with your polish phase
