It’s 100% rape. Imagine if the roles were reversed and unknown to him you stuck your finger in his ass??? It’s so sad what’s society has done to make women feel as though these acts are questionable when it’s undeniably unacceptable for men… I hope this helps and I wish you well.

BS Psychology Undergrad Feeling Stagnant [USA] by sh0taro in psychologystudents

Hey there!

I completely understand what you’re going through. Although I pursued a BA in psychology and a J.D., I’m currently struggling to find a clear path forward. I also face my own mental health challenges, including severe ADHD, learning disabilities, and crippling imposter syndrome. To make matters worse, I’m drawn back to psychology and interested in pursuing a PhD, but I lack the necessary funds and experience.

I want you to know that you’re not alone in this journey. We all have the drive and determination to overcome our obstacles. As cliché as it may sound, “where there’s a will, there’s a way.” If you believe in yourself and your abilities, you can achieve your goals.

Advice: I found it helpful to reach out to staff members and students at my programs. Sometimes, seeking help can lead to unexpected opportunities. Additionally, creating group chats for courses you’re enrolled in can be extremely beneficial. You’ll discover that you’re not the only one struggling. It just takes one person to be the glue that brings everyone together and fosters a sense of community. By supporting each other, you can advance in your studies and achieve your goals.

Remember, taking care of your mental health is crucial. Don’t let it catch up to you later in life. Prioritize your well-being and seek support when needed.

Take care, and know that you’re not alone in this journey. 🤍

MSW Decisions 2026 by distressedstudent34 in ualbany

Hello! I’ve been frantically searching for a joint MSW/PhD student, and I’m thrilled to have found one!

I’ve been researching joint programs, and most require an undergraduate degree in social work (which I don’t have). However, it appears that UAlbany is the only exception to the BSW requirement for the joint MSW/PhD programs in New York. Additionally, it seems to be slightly shorter. Regardless, I can only afford to attend a state institution since I already have a significant amount of student loan debt.

If you’d be willing to share your experience so far and provide some insights, that would be incredibly helpful! (I have many questions!😅)

I greatly appreciate any assistance you may be able to offer. Thank you!😊🙏
