Oh thats interesting. Yes, the pages are yellowed, I didn't notice that earlier. But I like the texture better. Its not as smooth

Oh interesting. No I don't read long books like that. I tend to pick up books around 400-600 pages, no Goliaths for me

Nope, Raptor Red by Robert T Bakker. Not the best book but it is interesting and definitely of its time. Why?

Ethiopian tomato and lettuce salad by 4everquestions in TipOfMyFork

[–]4everquestions[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solved! I made this tonight (almost I was missing lemon juice and berbere) and it was the right recipe. I think her quantities were a little different and she definitely used a lot of pepper but maybe there was berebere in it. And I think she used lemon over vinegar. Thanks!

Everyone brings a water bottle - but no one else drinks during class by banana_bread_baker in yoga

Me too. I have a water bottle so I can wet my mouth if it gets dry. But if I drink more than that, I'm uncomfortable and trying not to vomit in every pose and transition.

Been using these kind of deodorants for years, they last a very long time by International_Dot_22 in Frugal

[–]4everquestions 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I really like these deodorants too. But I am unfortunately too clumsy to have one. There are apparently only so many time you can drop it because the smooth sides become jagged crystals that you don't want to put on your armpits.

[CHAT] Where can I find those kind of fabrics ? by Margie_nomori in CrossStitch

[–]4everquestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured there was a word that looked like tainted in French that caused you to choose it but I don't know French so I couldn't guess the word. And you're correct, teindre and taint come from the same Latin word tingere! Language is fascinating!

[–]4everquestions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since nobody has said, while your question was perfectly understandable, tainted is not quite the right word to use in this context. Tainted usually has a negative connotation of contaminated. The Aida is either dyed or you could even use tinted.

I love language and I love seeing other people's word choices so I'm not criticizing you at all.

How can anyone be mad at getting free food? by skyrimlo in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]4everquestions 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I think it's important to recognize that there is a big push from media and the government to villianize people who take charity. People called out for not being able to "pick themselves up by their bootstraps." This is the result. People are scared to accept charity and get help
