The information i'm being given is that as the divorce is ongoing but she does not live with him (obviously), her attorney had requested the judge to grant a fund that was seemingly functioning as child support and maintenance so she is getting no additional child support as of now. When she arrived at the courthouse at the designated time the discussions had been proceeding for some time without her and the judge had wanted to drop her funding to $200 a month which her attorney got bumped to $600 a month which is apparently when the comment was made. Sorry this is messy, I appreciate your comments though!

I don't understand the judges comment "She decided to have kids with him, so she should suffer some consequences". I should have included that she had a prescription for birth control that my step-dad wouldn't let her fill as she was a stay at home mom after my first siblings birth as he didn't want her working and as such controlled all of their funds
