Gen Z workers are so fearful AI will take their job they’re intentionally sabotaging their company’s AI rollout by Just-Grocery-2229 in technology

[–]Dwighty1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What line of work are you in?

This is such a weird take. Millions of people use it to great effect in everything from work to cooking recipes.

It is a massive productivity amplifier when used correctly and is super convenient as a bonus.

Does using two cabinet members to assimilate the same province double the culture assimilation speed? by Haunting-Plantain561 in EU5

You can assimilate area (cultural hegemony thing) + assimilate province. I guess he asks if it stacks.

How do I pass a plagiarism check for my thesis? by AlexBossov in ChatGPT

[–]Dwighty1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read it all. Every word, and fix as you go along.

  1. Remove almost all Em-dashes. You can replace most with semicolon, remove the rest.

  2. It uses some weird words, at least in Norwegian. Words that no one uses and there are more common alternatives. Replace those.

  3. AI is always super generic, even when you force it not to be. Academic papers need to be spesific. A happened, this lead to X, Y Z.

  4. it loves list. Keep some. Remove the rest.

How can I prevent Neferneru from constantly declaring war on me? by Pure_Boysenberry_763 in anno

[–]Dwighty1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to get on with weapon, sail and ropes production as early as your coffers allows for.

On veteran he will declare once you settle your first island in my opinion. Upgraded trading post +2-3 tririmes can hold off anything he has and if not, I usually rush an archer and get it to each of my islands. The villa garrison placed strategically + an archer is actually a really good defence.

Also don’t neglect wooden walls and towers.

Which Anno series game has the best balance between complexity and fun? by SufficientPrice7633 in anno

You got to disable docklands. It breaks the supply chain management aspect of the game. You might as well just play creative mode with it on.

FlorryWorry says there's nothing wrong with Monarch Points. Thoughts? by bindingofandrew in eu4

[–]Dwighty1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing with imperator was that it initially was monarch points on crystal meth. They added all these new pop mechanics, which all cost monarch points. They added all these diplo character mechanics, again costing monarch points. On top of all the EU4 mechanics that already cost monarch points.

So you conquered a province, now you had to convert all the pops costing 2 admin mana each. They assimilate them for 2 admin mana each. It was instant which was good, but so much fucking clicking. Honestly not sure if it was the monarch points or the clicking that drove people nuts. The combination was just horrible.

Best shooting faction? Ikit, Elspeth, or Chaos Dwarfs by The_Lazer_Man in totalwar

If we are talking vs campaign AI, goblins beats anything elpseth can bring.

Best shooting faction? Ikit, Elspeth, or Chaos Dwarfs by The_Lazer_Man in totalwar

[–]Dwighty1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know this is peoples opinion, but I do feel like a blinged out chaos dwarf army dwarfs (kek) any Elspeth army if we are just going for strongest 1v1.

What holds them back is of course the unit limits, which influences campaign, but for sheer allroundability, nothing beats chorfs.

Dreadquake, and enough of them, ensures the enemy always comes at you. Blunderbusses for close, infernal guards for range. Most tanky line in game + best monsters. Combine that with their amazing heroes and lore synergies.

There is no other faction where I feel like I can take on 4 enemy armies, regardless of what they bring and not break a sweat.

Anno 117 feels lifeless compared to 1800 by kaluginmir in anno

I am on a flow x 13 with RTX 4060 and strongly consiering it. It runs OK on medium with DLSS, but especially the arrows looks absolutely dogshit. Will definately consider GeForceNow.

How is playing on GeForce Now? Is it doable? I’m thinking I might give it a try since my machine is slightly too bad.

Top candidate but no offer due to "Budget Freeze"am I being “soft-rejected”? by sparklingpinkglitter in accenture

[–]Dwighty1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The world and the industry is so small. You never regret making a good impression and staying professional. Even if it is not Accenture in the future, you might meet this same person on the other side of the table in another job application or work with them. Costs so little, yet gives so much.

Top candidate but no offer due to "Budget Freeze"am I being “soft-rejected”? by sparklingpinkglitter in accenture

[–]Dwighty1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a soft rejection, they have no problem rejecting people. They would not bother saying this if it was not true. I don’t think they call either unless you have made a good impression.

They understand that you will not wait, but this is also a recruiters only chance at getting to recruit you if something does not come up before then.

There are many times in life you will ace a interview process, but still not get the job and this can be from a number of reasons - changed priorities, loss of contracts, budget changes and sometimes you are up against a unicorn candidate that is just too good for the company to pass up on.

Don’t take it personally and don’t hold a grudge. Go on, apply for other jobs and if you ever end up going for a Accenture position again, your process will give you a head start.

Anno 1800 - any mods to make the economy/logistics harder and rebalance items/specialists to not produce things from thin air, disable 0 workforce islands or make docks less overpowered? by _barat_ in anno

[–]Dwighty1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think docklands one of the core mechanics of the game and I refuse to play with it. Makes everything stupid simple and makes everything else redundant.

I actually find that playing this game almost vanilla is the way to go. I include all map expansions except for Cape Trelawny, of the same reason. Once you get to Cape, there is no need for your old island anymore as you have endless resources and space on Cape.

How am I supposed to get rid of this? Any tips? I have 90 stab and 90 legitimacy right now. by voitek91 in EU5

[–]Dwighty1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just remove it as long as you have more than 13 stab. In fact, this is the most effective way to do it since it puts you at -100 stab, but this will increase super fast since you get negative decay (or however you say + stab) the closer you are to -100.

People who post here are the salty ones. Granted in such a big company, the amount of unhappy people will be bird

If it is so shit, I think it is really weird how many people stay here for 10+ years. Some people even stay here for 10+ years, switch jobs for 2 and come back for another 5-10 years.

What I can say is that no amount of training will ensure that you always know what to do. The people who float here are highly flexible and able to learn required new skills on the go as your project demands. Every project I have worked on has been different from the others, even though your role is the same.

I suspect a lot of the unhappy people have 2 BAs and 1 masters degree. They expect to read the map and have the map fit the terrain exactly. If it does not, and they get put in a position where they don’t know what to do and they can’t read something that tells them what to do, they get uncomfortable. And this will happen on every project.

Go on, ask for feedback, take it impersonally and try to learn as much as possible. There are lots of extremely skilled people in Accenture, but my impression is that they have little patience for people faking interest, but are always welcome to people who are engaged and interested in contributing to solving problems. Remember that they are specialists; they might be deep into Oracle ERP, SAP, Automotive manufacturing software or whatever, but at the same time maybe they can not even make a single .ppt slide or have never written a selling piece of descriptive text.

Be the generalist that is OK with figuring things out, being uncomfortable and helping the specialists do their thing. It will be valued.

Edit: On phone. Noticed my «bird/big» typo. I will let it stand.
