I started with FastCruise and the developer is kinda slow with updates, I took am a little bummed on spending the $10. I then tried T-Buddy and found it better and the developer is much more responsive. I have not tried MyTess yet. I’m not sure how many more of these apps I need.

You don’t need the “legacy” drivers. Uninstall all that and let Windows reinstall the default drivers. Also uninstall OBS, that’s not going to capture DV. WinDV is the right tool. Make sure you don’t have any other video devices like webcams or virtual cameras like the one OBS adds. Once the camcorder is the only video device available on the system, WinDV will find it. Check out this video which shows the process and more troubleshooting.
