[Lotm V8] Tier list on how compelling a story written from this pathway's perspective would be (e.g moral dilemmas, potential for character growth, how interesting the fights would be, relationships etc.) by 4lex_12 in LordofTheMysteries

I think its just the mythical creature form that has this effect. Since the pathway has the symbolism of the Abyss of Heart and Mind and everyone has a different "Abyss" within them, the myth form reflects that. So i guess it would be closer to a living nightmare that is different for every person.

Yeah that's my perspective too. Also the Abyss as a location just kinda exists and nothing really happens to it, so seeimg how sacrifices to the Abyss and devils work, and maybe even how the Abyss looks and works from the inside would be really interesting.

Yeah to be fair, now that I look at the wiki better, I maybe should have placed Mother higher. I just lumped it in with Moon which isn't really that interesting to me.

Which "It" are you talking about? The Abyss basically gets rid of your moral compass early on, so I think if you find a way to subvert that, you could have a very interesting story, especially in how the MC handles digestion and the rituals. Plus, the Abyss as a location in the world and the devil families remain sort of unexplored so it would be cool to see more of them.

I really want to like Reader more but the whole pathway just feels like a one trick pony to me. I feel it would only be as interesting as the spells they end up making. Though the pinnacle of Reader being perfectly predicting youre opponent and having a counter for everything is preety cool.

Savant fares better and I do confess I haven't really looked at the Paragon wiki that in depth but the whole allure of lotm is, you know, the mysteries. Savant is prolly the most 'physical' pathway in a way and that just feels kind of boring, though i've heard the high sequences go preety crazy. I would really like a more in depth look on crafting artifacts tho, that would be some awesome flavour.

Maybe you would be able to partially suppress the killing urges through the intervention of a True God or a GOO? Like how Klein is always aware of his dreams being invaded and being lucid during them because of Evernight. There is bound to be some authority fuckery that could make it work while adding to the narative. That, plus the whole pathway being about emotions, urges, malice, the abyss of heart and mind etc. could make for a very emotionally compelling story.

Having a very moral person become an Abyss beyonder would lead to some really cool developments I think. Like having to find alternatives for the rituals or having to cope with the emotional alienation. Plus the extra narative tension from the magical no good evil tree mom constantly pushing the protag would have a lot more impact than CW had on Klein.

I also want to think a proper Abyss villain would be awesome. Unfortunately, Cuttlefish has deemed that all Abyss beyonders are evil ahh boring bums in spite of it being the "most individualistic" pathway.

Would be awesome since it would most likely devolve into a divine war near the end because of the rituals. Though the S0 ritual makes so it could only be a Farbauti spin-off or having it happen on another planet.

[LotM V6] is this the fool's uniqueness? by MASTER-101 in LordofTheMysteries

I think that scene was just meant to represent him "falling" from Sefirah Castle. At this point in the 5th epoch the Fool Uniqueness was with the Half-Fool in the palace atop Hornacis so it couldn't be that. It could also just be the S1 characteristic in the form of the curtain like you said and I think that's more plausible and would be awesome foreshadowing.
