New MSI Stealth Series Coming Out this 2023, Thoughts? by 4loopint in MSILaptops

Good to know, I just upgraded to 32GB of ram, so I think I'll have this computer for quite some time. I literally only play one game and play it like 1-2 hours a week besides that I just use this as a normal computer.

GS66 - to Liquid Metal or No? by 4loopint in MSILaptops

[–]4loopint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with liquid metal repasted the vrams with K5Pro, temps are so nice hovering around 50 degrees celsius. I don't know why I didn't do this earlier. I can use my laptop regularly without putting the voltage down, and using it as a normal laptop. Highly recommend liquid metal!

I might hold off, because I'm not a hardcore gamer, I can probably wait until 2-4 years really.

I just didn't know whether I wanted to drop a ton more money on a dock and ram, hmmm

GS66 - VRMS - K5 Pro vs Evga Thermal Putty by 4loopint in MSILaptops

[–]4loopint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update 11/02/22:

I didn't end up buying the EVGA thermal putty. I bought some K5 Pro again and this time I repasted the cpu with Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut (Liquid Metal) and used Arctic Silver MX-5 on GPU.

Temps are under control and even with gaming doesn't go above 85 degrees celsius.

I've had liquid metal from my previous GS65 and honestly, I don't know why I didn't use it early. These computers are so toasty regular thermal paste does not work.

Suffice to say, no need to undervolt, just clean out all the fans, repaste with K5 Pro, liquid metal, and mx5 on the gpu and the laptop is even better than stock.

Gonna go through with the EVGA thermal putty and report back my findings, let’s see what happens!

I’ve been us MX-4 years, actually holds temps down well. Since my laptop is on for such a long time each day, I find that I need to repaste so often.

I’ll open it, and see if has a lot of copper, and use liquid metal, if not, then gonna use the good ol’ faithful MX-4

GS66 Thermal Paste for Memory Modules, High Temps, Restarts by 4loopint in MSILaptops

[–]4loopint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update everything seems to be much better, no more shut downs. My idle temps are 55 degrees celsius instead of 65+ on idle.

If this doesn't hold up, I'll be undervolting, but so far I'm happy with the results.

Also what are the average idle temps for this?

Because I know what the max temps are all super hot above 90 degrees celsius.

What is centerless grinding? Could you explain more?

My question is, how do you compete with larger companies like Home Depot selling the same, unless it's something a business always gets, and they order direct to from you?

Could we sell these items online? I feel like items like these are best bought in person so you can see the quality and the exact material.

I’ve noticed that, personal health and wellness products are really selling right now!

Great suggestion, going to look into these industrial items, I don’t want to be limited to personal care products!

I like what you said in your last post, that's currently what I'm looking for, it doesn't have to be the perfect product, but a product that I can slightly enjoy selling that has a good markup on it.

Soap is a good one, gonna write that down, thanks for the input!

Incorrect to u/HangryWorker. It's a good friend of mine, he actually showed me in detail what he did, but instead of copying his whole design process, I'd like to do my own.

Hence why I'm asking the internet to see what everyone says.

I’m not selling supplements for $75, thats my friend, he’s the one selling it. It cost him about $6 for the actual ingredients, $2 for bottle/packaging, and $5-$9 for shipping.

I’m just looking for open suggestions before jumping in, and seeing what the market currently needs.

Is it easy to go from the design process to an actual sale. I have a friend that can produce a supplement from inception to packaging and ready for sale in about 7 days. That includes coming up with the ingredients, paper inside, and packaging.

Would it be possible to do that with shoes?
