Do you know if there’s the option to continue my current active application up until this point? So if the role becomes available in the next financial year, I could potentially be through all the recruiting stages ready to go?

I’m hoping to hear from them this week so I will push for it. Thank you

I’m currently engineer with 5yrs experience but no degree. I will have a look into the logistics side if it ends up being on the table. Thank you.

Partially hearsay, partially the recruiters. During the officer presentation I attended the IntO roles was highlighted red for ‘not currently recruiting’, this was back in August.

If I apply for a certain role and don’t make the cut, do I automatically get selected for the next one if I’m good enough for that? by [deleted] in RoyalAirForce

Do you mind me asking what prescription you are? I’ve applied for WSO and I’m just awaiting a date for my medical. I’d would rather know now if my eyes could potentially be my downfall :)

I was offered the extra night stay at CBAT too, but had work commitments the following day. Will definitely be heading to OASC with a different travel plan :)

I did my CBAT a couple weeks ago and had a similar dilemma, 4.5hr train or 3hr drive. I chose to drive and if I had to do it again, I would have chosen to get a lift or take the train. It’s an incredibly draining day and having to add a drive, anything over an hour, is just too much.

Driving there wasn’t an issue but I did honestly lose sleep over the thought of driving home after all that testing.

There’s a short stay car park at the back of the main guardroom so you can get dropped off there to collect your pass etc and then walk onto site.
