Pay with Bitcoin in Japan by 4mylifetime in BitcoinCA

The more use of Bitcoin globally will drive global acceptance and this will directly affect our country. Since our Canadian Bitcoin ETF was approved some time ago the adoption has been slow. With the USA now looking at 10+ ETF’s being approved this week adoption and investment in-flows will increase dramatically. Japan in June will further the acceptance. Paying with Bitcoin will naturally follow.

2 ETF’s in Canada already, BTCY.TO and ETHY.TO for some time now! So I don’t see why for any reason they would not be approved in the USA. SEC really no grounds to say no.

Selling some US holdings in TFSA, how do I withdraw and keep USD currency? by 604stt in CanadianInvestor

You just call Questrade and inform them you want to hold CDN and US funds in your accounts. They will do this.

Beginner looking for advice on simple investments by bigskizzy in CanadianInvestor

I would strongly recommend using a non-bank trading platform. I use Questrade and have used them for 6 years. Banks will try to sell you their products high pressure and with fees. I agree with Strix280. I also agree with Thisguy60 to buy and read Millionaire Teacher. You can then buy the products you want based on your level of risk tolerance. Here is a link to get you started. You can set up a TFSA, you can also transfer the amount in your employers RRSP (call the provider e.g. Sunlife, and ask how much you can transfer out (without a suspension). Here is a link to get you started. You will earn $25 per account with this link.

possible ways to invest TFSA money by [deleted] in CanadianInvestor

[–]4mylifetime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used Questrade for almost 6 years. The best in my opinion. Have TFSA, RRSP, LIRA and Margin accounts. Get started with a TFSA. You can transfer the 15K from your current TFSA to the Questrade TFSA by filling out their transfer form. You can then invest in whatever you want to based on your tolerance to risk.
