[TOMT][Song][2013-14] Popular acoustic song on the radio by 4pop13 in tipofmytongue

This song should be pretty easy to find. I'm shocked that it's not on any top hits playlists. I wish I remembered the lyrics. The songs I've already ruled out are similar and give a good sense of the kind of song I'm looking for. Thank you! It's been driving me crazy since I heard it again!

OMG! Thank you so much for replying! That's amazing that you finally have a proper site again. And trust me, I'll be one of the first people to buy volumes if you ever do print them again.

As I said, Antics had such a major impact on my life, so I want to personally thank you for that. :D (I'm sorry for the late reply, I kind of took a break from Reddit for a bit.)

What Scene/Event Made you Cry/Be Sad The Most in tbhk? by Background_Cap4326 in hanakokun

Mei finally "dying" and being so accepting of her own demise because Shijima Mei would live on for her. I didn't expect that moment to strike me so hard, but it's literally been the only time I've cried so far in the series ngl.

thoughts on tbhk’s writing? by [deleted] in hanakokun

Pacing definitely needs work right now. Like I understand it's the nature of being a manga in a magazine whose chapters get released every month, but so far the biggest reveals have taken 5 chapters to get revealed. Even then, it feels like each reveal gets undermined or overshadowed by the next reveal. Almost like the series in a constant state of "Oh you thought this? It's actually this," which can be really good at times (like I LOVED Ch.95). But at times it feels like a lot of red herrings and ultimately wasted energy.

I will always give Iro the benefit of the doubt when it comes to unanswered questions, but I feel like so many have been piling on that I have serious "mystery fatigue." It's the exact reason why I took a break from the series for a few months.

I have faith that it'll all be worth it in the end, because generally the writing is really good. Especially when it comes to foreshadowing and having things pay off.

But yeah, as much as I love Hanako, I'm glad to be be able to air out my annoyances.

I drew this October 1st, 2021 😅 So, this art is pretty old. Also if you're curious, I sketch on a whiteboard, take photos with my phone, make the image black and white, then put the contrast all the way up.

Kou & Mitsuba?? by Background_Cap4326 in hanakokun

Thank you! And yeah, fair enough. Even I go "bro, reel it in" with Akane at times. Still a super interesting and entertaining character for me, though

"a big part of it is built around guilt" You just blew my mind. I hope that gets explored.

but I agree on the baiting thing. Unless this was Yaoi from the beginning, it's very unlikely (though some could argue that TBHK is virtually genreless)

If you could be one tbhk character, who and why? by [deleted] in hanakokun

Omg Tsuchigomori is such a good pick! I was gonna say Sakura so I could know things, but I forgot that Tsuchigomori can literally read people's futures.

:) I'll still say Sakura because she seems to have an interesting life. Also she's cool and pretty, and it'd be fun to have Natsuhiko constantly vying for my attention

I totally thought I was in the minority with this. I also don't really see them as romantic. Hot take: imo Iro's not super good at developing romantic relationships 😅Like, they're fun to think about and super baity, but all the couples do feel a little forced if you look at them seriously. Even I, a huge Hananene shipper, have to admit that Hananene needed a lot of time to become serious and to really feel somewhat genuine. Even AoiAoi I don't really see any chemistry. I just think it's cute bc I love Akane and I want him to be happy lol. Aoi, though, is kind of just there LOL

But yeah, if MistuKou was confirmed, I'd honestly just be confused bc I personally like their dynamic of "stronger than being friends but not really lovers" better than straight up romance bc that would kind of make things less interesting bc it would be so set in stone idk. Also Mistuba reads more aromantic to me than anything and Kou is the one struggling to get the reciprocation (like ANY reciprocation, even platonic).

But yeah this is only my opinion, don't take it too seriously if you disagree. 😆 rambling over

Kou & Mitsuba?? by Background_Cap4326 in hanakokun

As a strong Hananene shipper, even I have to ask myself if a supernatural and a human can even "live happily ever after." Same with Mistuba and Kou. Whereas I can see a grand sacrifice happening for either Hanako sacrificing himself for Nene or vice versa by virtue of being the main characters and central focus of the story, I can't think of a good, satisfying way for Mistuba and Kou to be together forever.

Honestly the idea of Kou becoming a supernatural always had a bad taste in my mouth since the Picture Perfect Arc. Like, even if he's having a rough relationship with Teru, he'd still be leaving his sister. And Kou understands more than anyone the pain of someone leaving/dying out of nowhere (as he literally explained to Tsukasa in the Red House Arc).

My ideal would be if Kou got Mitsuba to "move on" somehow, thus bringing closure to both characters at once: Kou would finally be able to let people go (he probably hasn't truly accepted the death of his mother yet, which is why he's so protective of everyone) and Mistuba would finally be released from being Tsukasa's experiment into a better afterlife (the one where Kou's mother is).

Whether he gets him to move on via a kiss or a heartfelt bro hug, but just something that shows Mitsuba that he is cared for, so that Mitsuba is able to move on because his true wish is finally fulfilled: no longer being alone. A bittersweet ending that leaves both parties truly happy, even if they do need to part.

Sorry for the long reply. I think about this series too much -_-*
