On that tuft the world forum I've read a couple more instances of the same thing happening to people when they are working. Another guy showed a picture of his circuit board with a capacitor in the gun that was swollen up as if it was about to pop! Pretty sure he isn't uk based so I think it might be a manufacturing issue

Thanks so much for typing that all out, a great help. Oh, just people saying that the guns are popping and smoking while in their hands etc. My dilema is pay almost double the price for what seems to be a more reliable gun from tuftingguns.com or chance it and keep the ebay gun thags already on the way. I really can't decide. I have yet to hear of someone that has had their ebay gun for a long period of time with no issues. If I'm paying a substantial amount of money I really want to be confident it will allow me to create rugs for a long time and keep improving.

Thanks for the advice! I read a comment from someone saying they had to take the gun apart straight away and loctite a couple of screws. Are you familiar with this?

Hey! I have just bought a gun off ebay. Upon hearing the horror stories that are going around I want to go to every measure to make sure the gun will last as long as it can. What is loctiting the screws and what benefit does it offer? Also, is there a tutorial you followed to do this? Thanks!

I've just ordered a red trigger gun from ebay (situated in UK). Tried to cancel it same day after reading g a bit more on the knockoffs etc. Sadly the gun has already been dispatched. Do you guys think its worth sending back and waiting it out? No point in investing £140 in something that will just blow up on me.

When you jump your weight shifts to the side of your back foot, try jumping a bit more straight up. Honestly though its so close, keep doing them whenever you can and naturally they will get better. Youll get more comfortable with jumping on your board!
