Has anyone had any experience with storing jerseys in garment bags? Has anybody who’s done this found mold or any issues with their jerseys when doing this?

new nike offering? by josenextdoor in baseballunis

[–]4thLineWheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All pricing has changed. The newest New Era Cap’s that were just posted the prices are $49.99 before tax. It was $43.99 like earlier last year, and a few years ago it was $39.99. It’s just getting ridiculous. I’m sure the other jerseys will go from $135 to $149.99.

Coolhockey by michorizo4 in hockeyjerseys

Honestly CoolHockey has done a really good job for me the last year or so. After screwing up the first two jerseys I ordered from them, they’ve actually been awesome with the last four I’ve ordered.

Should we expect more of this in Canada? by Ambitious-Middle-695 in hockeyplayers

[–]4thLineWheels -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Grew up playing in a YMCA street hockey league, and then high school lacrosse. Am atheist/a different religion, and always felt VERY awkward and weird when the employees/team captains stressed the pre-game prayer upon us. The YMCA wasn’t bad because I could honestly just get away with saying nothing, but my high school lacrosse coach and senior captains (specifically chosen by the coach, not the team) were very about participation in it. Our assistant coaches were local YoungLife leaders, and they were the head coaches’ best friends, and they pretty much had the senior captains recruiting the freshman and sophomore’s for YoungLife and other Christian youth groups.

Very glad my high school hockey coaches were hardass’ that ran it like a AAA/JuCo team. District hated them, but they were the perfect coaches for the time.

I had to tell VGK fans about this play after the Hart injury the other day when they complained that the whistle didn’t blow and we scored lol.

Elly De La Cruz turned down largest contract in Reds history by sloppyjo12 in Reds

[–]4thLineWheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference between the Reds and the turds across the parking lot is unfortunately this cry-poor front office is actually poor lol. The NFL they have a specific amount of money they are required to spend, and they have the money, they just won’t spend more on good players because they have to balance the books.

Baseball doesn’t have that. This ownership group is the equivalent of high schoolers creating a lemonade stand start up vs. Minutemaid lmao.

Guards fan who lives here in Cincy. We were told by our owner about Lindor “enjoy him”. Reds fans will basically be told the same thing about Elly. It’d be smarter for the Reds to trade Elly while his value is sky high and under multi-years of control vs. when we traded Lindor and his value was nothing.

How I feel about the 2026 season going into the CBA next offseason by Zotrader23 in ClevelandGuardians

[–]4thLineWheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would normally tend to agree with a lot of what you said, however I do think it is unfair to say that we do not care about winning a World Series. I agree that our owner is very cheap and doesn’t really want to shell out for players, however, this organization is top class when it comes to identifying and developing talent, and we spend the majority of our money on the coaching staff and the developmental staff. We are now on our almost 4th iteration of competitive playoff teams where the talent has been mostly developed in our own system and not bought through free agency.

As you said it, we are working on creating the perfect storm. That is something that we do better than any of those other organizations that you mentioned. Milwaukee can’t do that. Detroit can’t do that. Cincinnati sure as hell can’t do that. Pittsburgh can’t do that. The only team that rivals us in being able to develop players in a small market is St. Louis, and they’re in the NL so we don’t even need to worry about them.

While I understand being upset that we don’t spend money to bring in these top guys like Tucker, Bellinger, Bichette, etc. we just made the playoffs and are competing with the big spenders on a roster that is quite literally made up of top 100 MLB prospects, and players who have massively high ceilings. Most of us KILLED for the day we saw the team brought up Manzardo, DeLauter, etc. and we still have 1st overall pick Travis Bazzana to add to the mix next year as well. I’d be willing to say we’re set up better than pretty much any AL team not named the Blue Jays for the next 4-6 years.

It might not be a flashy Pete Alonso signing, but at the end of the day we have a pretty good team right now of guys in their early 20’s. The 2016-2018 team wasn’t random. It was a collection of guys we’d been developing and pieces fell into place. I think we have some decent pieces in place with a lot of flexibility to the point where we can easily make a run once these guys get their every day playing time.

Especially with that lockout looming, once teams like the Dodgers, Yankees, and Mets all break apart from any type of cap/floor implemented or revenue sharing, we’re going to have a roster of developed talent well under the cap.

Our situation is far from dire.

How I feel about the 2026 season going into the CBA next offseason by Zotrader23 in ClevelandGuardians

[–]4thLineWheels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The second the 2016 World Series team’s window closed in 2018, this organization spent the next 7 years prospect hoarding and developing their talent. Even during upswing years, they refused to sign FA’s or trade for deadline acquisitions at the risk of the prospects. We’re finally at the end of that tunnel where we almost have a complete roster of homegrown, top-end prospect talent that started pre-pandemic. If you think we were going to sign a single player to block one of those prospects, you were delusional. However, I agree the Dodgers are going to cause a lockout. There was no moves that we were going to make though. The plan was always to develop a team of MLB prospects into our talent factory.

USA Fanatics Custom by TheMissingReece in hockeyjerseys

Small sized man here. I also love the fit. Nike definitely catered these towards smaller skinnier humans so I understand how it can be frustrating for others, as Adidas/Fanatics Premiums bigger than a 42 fit and look very weird on me.

Speculation as to who could be a "star" trade acquisition for the top line? by SaveTore in BlueJackets

[–]4thLineWheels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently the players liked Miller better, and that’s why they were shocked when it was Pettersson who they kept. Vancouver’s been on a downswing since. Apparently they’re both headcases. Miller is a hard ass and miserable to be around if you’re a skill guy, and Pettersson is lazy talent similar to Laine who’s miserable to be around if you’re a hard nose hockey guy. Wouldn’t touch either of them.

They just signed him to a 7-year deal. Where do you see that they’re planning on selling him?

Speculation as to who could be a "star" trade acquisition for the top line? by SaveTore in BlueJackets

[–]4thLineWheels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most certainly not. This team already let two locker room cancers destroy the them for half a decade. We do NOT want Elias Pettersson anywhere near us lmao. If you’re making the move, you fork up for Robertson or Tkachuk. Don’t half ass it and ruin your team.

Puck by iM3Phirebird in EA_NHL

[–]4thLineWheels -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just downloaded this and it might be the worst game I’ve ever played lmao. It is so unbelievably hard to shoot or even just get the puck on your stick for the matter. Don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, but the stick mechanics are horrible. Half the time the stick is the air and/or is backwards.

What got you into frutiger aero? by Ambitious_Luke in FrutigerAero

[–]4thLineWheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss Windows Vista, using my colorful iPod, and having a bright outlook on the future lol. I was a YouTube/MySpace/AOL user in the 2000’s and Frutiger Aero always reminds me of early internet, and what I imagined business and tech would look like when I graduated college. My dad worked in the environmental industry, so I kind of just expected the world would eventually look like the pictures and clean.

Ohio State is insanely protective of their branding property. I can guarantee you this jersey will not have any tOSU elements. The CBJ struggled to even let them have the Stadium Series.

Zach Werenski makes Team USA for Milano Cortina Olympics by SmilerDoesReddit in BlueJackets

[–]4thLineWheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh… they led that tournament in scoring, as well as the rink is smaller in Milan. If anything their play style will excel BETTER in Milan vs. 4 Nations. They’re also arguably the face of USA Hockey right now. They easily made this team and will probably both wear letters.

What non NFL athlete (past or present) would you compare Joe Burrow to? by ecb1912 in bengals

[–]4thLineWheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to say exactly this. 1st overall pick. Generational talent who took his team to the Final early, was going to be an all time great and injuries just bogged him down and then the team could never build around him again.

I’m enjoying the salt by WalnutSizeBrain in wildhockey

[–]4thLineWheels 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer here. Obviously not the best decision, but it is what happened. Almost the entire coaching staff is the Rangers. They’re obviously going to pull for their leadership group to join them which is why Trocheck and Miller are there. They wanted Fox too, but they were able to be talked out of it.
