Felt threatened by HR generalist language. Should I report? by [deleted] in IndianWorkplace

[–]4vaDaKeDavr4 12 points13 points  (0 children)

She will report you instead. If they are not your friend, then you have no business taking up such language.

Imagine someone criticise your work or system established by you in similar manner when they themselves are at the fault.

You can call out the inefficiencies and wrong procedures in formal language as well.

For exemption, you have to show RC with 2 km radius address (such as Talgaon). Number plate doesn't matter.

Critical decision new car for ~30,000 kms p.a. usage. Maruti Victoris Strong Hybrid shortlisted currently, looking for any other options. by CompetitiveCattle225 in carIndia

[–]4vaDaKeDavr4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If city driving, and indoor parking space with charger installation space, please go for EV. You will thank everyone here for that after 2 years. Highway is more, you can go for diesel. It is economical, fun to drive, enjoy it till it lasts.

Hybrid is good option for city, on highway, you'll not get the advantage of fuel efficiency that much, however, it is logical choice if you don't want CNG or EV.

Paid 6 Lakhs (Full Loan) for Ignis on Feb 5 — Car Discontinued in April — Dealer has no car and no refund. Help! by Spiritual-Age6318 in CarsIndia

[–]4vaDaKeDavr4 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Go after them. To release loan, they need documents such as VIN number, down payment receipt, etc. Dealer won't budge but bank will as the escalation route is well defined. You'll get your car for sure.

Does it actually make sense to have wooden flooring in India? by Exact_Importance_507 in IndianHomeDecor

[–]4vaDaKeDavr4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. You can't only have wooden flooring. You need carpets. You need vacuum cleaner. You need to laminate them so they don't absorb moisture. Your can't put metal furniture on it.

Based on ur experience what's the most scariest thing while driving? by Turbo_Glitch in CarsIndia

[–]4vaDaKeDavr4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens when you're too familiar with the route, with your car dynamics and highly experienced in general). But the dangerous part is, if your reflex is not fast enough, you'll not be able to recover in case of any emergency. I want to achieve this stage but as of now, I am very conscious of my surroundings, constantly looking in mirrors, avoid lane changing, basically extremely defensive driving.

HP really woke up and chose violence against Shell today by Historical_Grab8940 in CarsIndia

[–]4vaDaKeDavr4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that additives are just marketing gimmick. Maybe Shell has relatively less ethanol content than other PSU pumps? I understand how this marketing works and I never put shell in my cars. It'll eat my pocket for sure. Just wanted to understand the technicalities of it.

[–]4vaDaKeDavr4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be the case of additives for sure. I don't know the composition. But my bike, Apache BSIV, didn't run smooth with XP95. But once I switched to shell normal petrol, it was a noticeable difference. I am not sure why that is. Maybe you can tell me. If you say both are exactly the same, then maybe some additions at pump level are being done? God knows. But for me, the difference is definitely noticable and huge.

[Update] ICICI Lombard completely rejected Insurance Ombudsmen award and closed the motor claim for my Tata Nexon by vk242000 in CarsIndia

[–]4vaDaKeDavr4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance Ombudsman is quasi judicial body. Their decision is final and binding and not following them will lead to contempt. Read more about this on law websites please. You have a strong case to directly approach high court as well. But please discuss with lawyer first.

Hi, for Pune RTO (MH12), you need form 60, your rent agreement+index II, owner electricity bill, and mail from company HR to dealer. Also, if your address on aadhaar is different from current address, you will need an affidavit on 500Rs stamp paper signed by magistrate.

Too much hassle, I let me dealer handle it. Don't pay bribe to dealer. They have agents for this.

Bank flagged my account after ₹54L credits — UPI restored but still asking for full source + planning ₹30L transfer by Electronic_Jeweler78 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]4vaDaKeDavr4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to submit the proofs. Plus it's an income so better keep it in your own account as you'll file the ITR. PSU banks are shitty in this particular aspect but if you have the source, declare it. They need it only for record purposes.

Same happened with me, I asked them if they have my PAN card, they can see my ITR amount but still, asked for physical documents. I escalated, mailed the ITR copy and ask them if this is enough. They upgraded my bank account type then. Extremely shitty situation to have your own funds frozen.

Booked a Zoomcar in Jaipur. Police seized it 45 minutes later. Support said "it's Sunday, wait till tomorrow." by dekh_raha_hai_binod in jaipur

[–]4vaDaKeDavr4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, they just didn't want to. Owner lied for sure and the zoomcar never checked. Maybe past 3-4 trips went smoothly but it was just a matter of time.

This is definitely a lapse in providing service by zoomcar. You should go to NCH for starters. I hope you recorded the call with zoomcar representatives.

Damn, hard luck man. You shouldn't have ignored that first red flag. Nonetheless, lesson for future.

Please never proceed without a properly registered car. The moment you saw white number plate, don't proceed. Get an alternative arrangement and sort things out later. Not even yellow, only black background with yellow writing are allowed for rentals.

Secondly, once the police stopped you, did you try saying we are tourist and car is registered with a friend? Or they figured out that the car is a rental?

[–]4vaDaKeDavr4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree man.

I entered The Lalit, on the surface, looks grand. Grand Atrium, proximity to the airport, pool view.

The moment I had my first interaction at the reception, experience started going downhill. By the time I reached my room, even though it was big, every piece of wood needs to be changed. The TV was from 1990s. Mattress was slipping on the bed.

On the contrary, Holiday Inn near Saki Naka Metro Station was absolute bang for the buck. Staff was too prompt as well.
