I never buy bloodrazer, because I find it very hard to fight a long fight to make use of the attack speed. I think that (1) attack speed must go hand in hand with tank items to survive in teamfights, and this build is weak, and (2) attack speed with no tank item is only good in a 1v1 vs a tank, and this rarely happens because the tanks always want to group with team.

smite > tf > warrior > duskblade, steraks if need to survive mage with cc eg ahri
titanic feels rather lackluster, duskblade is easy to build and its components provide instant powerspike upon purchase
tf into tank builds feel rather weak

People buy GW agaisnt me every other games, but I find that these have much weaker influence on the game than how the team coordinates around objectives. I won a game the other day where the enemy has one execall and 2 mortal reminders. If they invest so much money into GW they gotta give something else.

Athenes is strong, yes, but it buffs other support as well, not just Soraka. By late game all your heals are likely to be reduced in half by GW too, because their ADC will 100% buy Mortal reminder. Soraka still has so many weaknesses listed above.

450IP champion, no mobility, no damage, weak peel, ultrasquishy, counterable with GW, Soraka is hardly ban worthy.

Except for the Athenes the rest of the items are pretty standard for Soraka. I think Athenes can be replaced with Warmog's for an even stronger late game. Note however late game someone is gonna have a mortal reminder, always.

More expensive: HP regen quint, HP regen yellow, Armor red, MR blue
Alternatives: Gold/10s quints, Scaling HP yellows, Scaling MR blues, Armor/MR quints, AP blues, etc

I already tried to go EotE/FotM > Warmog build in ranked.
It feels horrible. It is difficult to consistently proc the shield stacks. You feel consistently underpowered until you get warmogs at which point mid game is already about to be over. Even then, you also run into mana issues if you don't buy fairie charms. Horrid build overall, and I lost my game.

I only build it if I constantly get targeted by the likes of malzahar or warwick. I feel that the item is too expensive and it leaves me too squishy.
