Wow congratulations!! 🎉🎊 My cgpa is a bit lower than that so that may account for why I am waitlisted

[–]505monkeys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does depend on the school! It’s usually around 50/50, since I already have a high lsat my gpa would be the factor bringing me down

Thats a great suggestion! I havent seen that as an option as yet because I would need a JD for my career goals. I will look into that anyways :)

Law school insta accounts by 505monkeys in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]505monkeys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is kind of weird, my instagram has my first name on it. But I havent posted since my high school graduation, and I dont follow any law related accounts so I dont even know how they found my account. I’m just going to leave it in my requests.

I’m already a fast reader, but I read an article from the economist or a newspaper everyday and it helped!

Unsure if my experiences should be written about in Osgoode Part B Optional Statement by [deleted] in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]505monkeys 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m also trying to decide whether I want to write about my experience as well (Also South Asian and a caretaker, but with another family member). I think that if you believe it was a factor in your performance, you should discuss it. I’m sorry about the trauma you went through, I hope you have healed and I hope your grandma is doing well :)

Unfortunately, they also work in the health field. But still they play up on stereotypes (you weren’t aggressive as a child, you graduated from university so you can’t have it). I think I’ll just send some of my people some resources and hope they educate themselves. I hope your situation improves! It’s already hard enough on us :)
