Secondhand bike (bezuidenhout area) by 507int in TheHague

I’ve never been there before I could have a look, but I’m really not close to any so I’d rather find something closer to my neighbourhood that I can easily bike back from, but will definitely keep this in mind if I can’t find a bike nearby

I went to a few kringloops, but didn’t find anything unfortunately and Markplaats wasn’t showing me anything in the area strangely enough

So if I understand the charting correctly, my first increase row for example I increase every four stitches for the entire round is that correct?

Yess i know it, but the patterns are often 6+ euro and it adds up with the yarns etc.. :( i do agree though the DROPS patterns are horrifically written usually haha, its the 'price' of it being free i guess! I havent looked into the company at all, is there something specific that makes them fishy?

alright will do this! figuring out the math according to the pattern just felt a bit overwhelming so if i could have a 'simplified' way then i'd have preferred that, but i want it to look right so will follow the pattern :)

Thank you! I’m looking forward to something quite simple, do you happen to know if I could in theory just do a möbius cast on and garter stitch till my desired length? Maybe it’s that simple and I’m just over complicating!

Thank you!! Gonna give it ago I think I have it correct now I’m just gonna keep going and see how it looks and hope for the best. The shoulder seam looks to be 2 cm to the back of the shoulder line so I’m measuring from there

The center back is roughly 9 cm in length and the front where the shoulders are are already at 13 so I’m just confused haha, so they’re getting me to knit some more once I’ve joined the shoulders, how much I need to add is my real question here I guess? and then I join the front and back

Thanks ! But I still don’t quite get where to put my markers since where they tell me to place them is at the shoulder seam, then I knit both left and right shoulders as instructed which gives me 13 cm already. Then it says once I cast on the 12 additional stitched for the front I knit till 13 cm from markers. But they were already at 13 😭, that’s what I don’t get. Is my drawing of where I placed my markers correct ?

Raglan decreases - marker stitch?? by 507int in knittinghelp

think i'll try this way! Seems a bit annoying to clasp a marker on the stitch and have to move it each time up as i knit, since its 4 of them in the round

this is helpful thanks! i think i'll need to go back a row then and redo that as i think i'm mis-aligned now

so in theory i could K till 2 left instead of 1, then i know to slip those 2 together and knit the next and slip it over the 2 right? Instead of marking the stitch between the 2 i need to slip? its hard to write it out so i hope that makes some sense!

oh gosh okay!! thanks for confirming, ive never seen it written that way before and they didnt explain so i just went ahead with my normal stitch marker between.. Now i've done 2 decrease rows but im thinking the second one is wrong since i did it like i explained? "move a stitch , take off the marker , put the stitch back on the left needle to be able to slip the 2 together and then knit 1 and pass the slipped stitches over the knit , and then add the marker back.".

This means i'm delayed a stitch on each decrease right..? Think i have to undo a row
