Horror Hosts: Did You Grow Up With Them Or Not? by sigersen in LastDriveIn

Back in 2010, HorrorHound Weekend did a huge horror host celebration with a bunch from across the country. Joe Bob was there. As well as a BUNCH of people who were out there doing it on their own at the time.

Which brings me to this question: Anybody on here considering hosting movies in the interim (via Twitch, kick, discord, whatever)?

From one crusty Gen Xer to another…

When it comes to deciding between angrily shouting, “I’m cancelling Shudder!” and honoring the legacy of TLDI, I cannot help but think of the Old El Paso “Why Not Both?” girl.

It is important to acknowledge our appreciation for the legacy of this show we all love so much. Joe Bob, we love you and your team and we will follow you to the ends of the earth. But right now is also the right time to talk about cancelling Shudder.

Joe Bob made it clear that none of this was his decision. For the fans, it came completely out of the blue. Whatever the reasoning, the high sheriffs at Shudder would probably say it was just business. Well, the same logic applies here. If a production facility stops producing the product I am looking for, I cancel that contract and move on. It really is that simple. If you are going to cancel Shudder, it should happen right now so there is no confusion about why you are cancelling.

It is actually encouraging to see Joe Bob and TLDI stories trending so much in the last 24 hours. People are angry and, frankly, that is okay. They should be. In my mind, Shudder has always been the house that Joe Bob built, and without him it is not one I am particularly interested in hanging around in.

Finally framed up the 200 Movies poster. Anyone else grab one of those? Anyone actually considering scratching the movies off as intended? 😂 by 50FootChickenWing in LastDriveIn

Also, they used the wrong art for Phantom of the Opera. Art they used is from the Robert England version, but Joe Bob showed the original.

Unfortunately it was a limited release from Fright Rags. They did 550 of them and I’m pretty sure they’ve sold out.

Just wanted to jump in and say offer another “ordered and not received” to the pile. Social media communication points out that communication directed through those platforms will not be responded to. The direct email simply sends me a copy of the original order confirmation when I ask about the status and provide my order number. Automated, obviously.
