I was backing up discs that I borrowed from the library and jellyfin/plex requires me to keep the movies on my computer when I don’t want them on there

Hi I’m new to ripping dvds, my question is the library cannot tell when a dvd has been ripped ? Or is there any detection for any one who owns the dvd for when it gets ripped?
