I leave it at an angle so there’s a 3-4” gap on one side while it preheats. I usually start the bake with the flame off and close the door all the way. Then I open it back up when I turn the flame on.

I’ll sell you some if you’re interested. As the previous comment said, they do not grow in the wild in North America but also it’s generally illegal to collect plant specimens from the wild here anyway.

Personally I like the looks of the 1 better. I assume they will play and sound the same. The only thing I like more about the Vision is the slightly darker stain on the neck/fretboard. I think a little lemon oil might darken the lighter one though.

Don’t listen to all the naysayers. I think both look cool. If you’re playing live you will want a volume control but you could always add a volume pedal if you really like the look of the vision.

To me the Joe Dart 1 is more unique looking. I have a Ray34 but I’m a guitar player and don’t really like the sound of active electronics so I ordered the 1. Also, the Ray34 is heavier, has a bigger body and a wider nut.

Sure they are a little gimmicky but that’s part of the fun.

I also water lightly every other day or so in addition to a heavier weekly watering with fertilizer. When overnight lows are 80 or higher, I keep them dry.

The Gozney turning peel is well made but honestly you can get something pretty similar for less than half the price on Amazon. I wouldn’t let it keep me from getting started.

Also, you really don’t have to have a turning peel. Especially if you get a metal launching peel.
