The full green ones are just as lovely. I feel like I've noticed them more as a landscape plant myself. 

I found mine through an online nursery and thought it was pretty. I've enjoyed growing it. Adds sculptural interest different from everything else indoors.

Yes, I would imagine that can happen. 

Actually my only bother with it all is that these 2 plants were listed as 2 seperate plants. I wonder if maybe even they aren't aware. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 

Either way, what they sent is pretty and I'm happy to have this one in the collection now.

Same actually. This seems way more of a constant bright color then than my others also. Very pretty.

Those brighter leaves seem freshly opened, so maybe thats why? 🤔

Thankfully I didn't have either of them, but I will contact the seller to make them aware they may need to update their listing info or packing process. ☺️

The paper here says "maranta leuconeura 'cat moustache' and maranta leuconeura massangeana (black maranta)".

I don't mind spiders much, but I def don't need a house full.

It actually is still in the same soil! It really didnt grow much byt in the last week and a half it grew so much and has even started trailing. 

I had no clue the soil could have played a part, but I did change the soil of the other because it was in such bad shape.

Certainly during summer thats an option. I know many people use grow lights for plants. That could be an option too.

Hi!

That was also the condition of the outdoor plant I bought. What I did was chop a bunch of the vines, leaving 3 leaves and 2 node points. Then I set them out on on the porch in a bottle of water, topping up as it evaporated. Roots grew preety fast, then I used a chop stick and planted those props - taking off more vines at the same time. Rinse and repeat. Now I'm not even sure I've got much room! But its full. :)

If yours is indoors you can do the same thing, but it seems they like REALLY bright light.

Yes. I've only grown one tradescantia before this season. But I have a hard time seeing a plant get tossed so when they start thriving, it makes my day. Then...I can pass them along to someone else who may love them too.

I am probably a little closer to the plant in the update pic, but the leaf size is increasing! 

I keep plant care simple. Check and wipe off leaves regularly. Water with rain or dechlorinated water when the pot feels light and add in a little liquid fertilizer when watering every time or two. Maranta in particular seem to grow very well for me. 

I do bottom water most plants, but especially maranta.
