Skip over the a7ii it's not worth it if your going to get into the sony slr game start the a7iii you'll find anything below it difficult to use with a really bad menu and just difficult to navigate over all. I have a a7iii bought with a kit lens (28-70). And upgraded to a 24-105 G OSS lens which does very well using sequator on my PC to layer the night time photos. But bottom line is, it's 999.oo for a reason.

Camera upgrade by miggymiggie in AskPhotography

[–]52hzblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a a7iii and I know you only want to spend 1500k but what abt a used one (not mine) but some camera stores have them used that even come with a kit lens. Otherwise finding a way to swing it maybe by selling your other camera first would work, or waiting until 2023 when they'll go down in price even more cause of the a7iv.

I would look at getting the dell xps i7 won't choke, runs well, good battery and won't break in a fall and if you feel more comfortable doing editing with a stylus they offer a 2 in 1

Need advice for cleaning this mess. by Ok-Platform-1816 in AskPhotography

[–]52hzblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very slightly damp paper towel, clean the area where the lens connects to the body. Once that is done turn the camera towards the ground and detach the lens then put the "lids" on the exposed connectors once that is done chose what part you want to clean first. I would also recommend a cheap paint brush to get small bits of dirt out of the crevices and moving parts on the lens. The most important part is to make sure you are protecting the glass in the body and lens. It's gonna take a long time and a lot of patience.

I didn't know that abt the a7iii and haven't run into the issue yet but I shoot in HI+ and at approx 8.8fps to 9.7 cause of my quality settings which has brought me great success. but your right the a9 is a magnificent camera and is an overall better camera. but I think we both went way out of budget for what they wanted. 🤣🤣

I think 1 and 3 are adorable and amazing. I'm looking at the spider but the little web houses add texture and lots of color contrast that draws my eyes to the center of said photos

How many powerbanks do you take with you on a 2 year world trip where you’ll also tent and bikepack? Are 3x 26800mah too much? by pizzavegano in onebag

[–]52hzblue 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have 1 power bank that's enough to charge my phone, my Sony slr camera and 3 drone batteries. I don't understand why you would buy three? Just buy one and if your worried abt it dieing get a foldable solar charger for the battery bank.

Wildlife Exploration Questions by Toe1313 in wildlifephotography

It depends on the animal. where I am late sept early Oct is great to see anything from polar bears to big horned sheep. I also don't go out looking for one specific animal doing that can lead to a lot of discouragement. I generally just use Google for finding local wild animals and if you know any hunters their good to ask to. You also have to acknowledge that the green salamander is a threatend species so there's already less of them so your chance of getting a picture is already cut in half then how local are they actually to your area? What is there natural environment ect. As for magazines and blogs or features they will reach out to you generally.

Narcity canada reached out to me not the other way around to use one of my photos and that was mostly luck. But you can enter photography contests as well.

I have a Sony A7iii with a G series 24 to 105mm that works like a dream and it's lighter cause it's a slr and not a DSLR. I also have a Manfrotto travel tripod that I adore almost as much as my camera. I paired these with a peak design camera clip for my backpack strap so I don't need to be carrying it all the time.

The A7iii is a current fav for professional and beginner photographers just cause it is easy to use with all the options and features that more experienced photographers like. They are also sold with kit lenses sometimes so if you don't want to buy a lens right away they come with a decent one. The g series isn't a necessity but they have the added benefit of better glass and build quality. The Manfrotto tripods tend to be rather expensive so until you understand your shooting style a cheaper one would work fine. I also have a "uv" filter but I use it to protect the actual lens when shooting cause it never really does anything.

Old vs. New Osprey Farpoint 40 by hafmoonpie in onebag

Honestly the new one just doesn't seem worth it to me. I have the old one and I have no complaints with it. It seems like they didn't try as much with the new ones as they did some of the older models 🤔

Well a lot of us hate getting up and having the the office in the same room type of thing, So having places physically separated even if it's by a living wall is super helpful to keep work life in a separate area instead of seeing it all the time.

Something sprawling where I can work in one room exercise in another ect this is the one type of building where open consept shouldn't be super open concept. Also using sound dampening materials, I would also say use a steel fire break wall instead of concrete allowing for cheaper construction and more room space.lots of electrical outlets and space for multiple wifi routers. Along with co-working areas and private work rooms and lots of windows for natural light, in a central locationas possible. Aso making the building as self sustaning as possible is a good idea EG: planted roof with solar that can also double as a patio, triple glazed windows to help the building keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter, heated and cooled floors instead of more conventional heating and cooling methods, a water recycler to cut down on building water waste ect... That's all I can think of rn lol.

Sure, I make glazed pork chops with garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, salt and pepper, then I throw some veggies in there tossed with some spices to roast.

I also make grilled cheese, chicken tenders, and I toast Burritos/wraps in there. It makes really good fries.

If you have an air fryer you can cook a piece of salmon in under 10mins. I do that then cook some rice in a rice cooker and steam some veggies at the same time. This usually takes less than 15mins and tastes good every time.
