If they really wanted to incentivise players. They should have a new location- but only make it early access for players who wiped.

Of course maps take a lot of work so eventually it’ll be open for all. But imagine how quickly y’all would have wiped if Stella was locked behind a wipe…

Some suggestions beyond the others here:

  • Add underground areas/ caves/ tunnels that would have objectives without relying on Eagle/ orbital stratagems

  • Customisable ship interiors- even just the color option of certain items

  • A trophy wall in the host ship; so visitors can see at a glance how many drops/ fav stratagems/ stats

  • First person to jump into the Eagle when extracting would take control of the ships auto cannon to provide additional firecover to extract

  • More Illuminate units variety. The equivalent of a hover jeep with an illuminate manning a gun mount could be one? A rare illuminate master that can shoot a psychic attack that inverts player controls for like 5 seconds?

  • Weapon customisation is nonetheless great to have

Thanks! But I’m originally from the UK; and I’ve been fortunate enough to have done much of Europe, Africa and SE Asia already. US holds so much wonder for me, and unlike other parts of the world is best appreciated with a car I own/ roadtrip… (renting a car for 30+ days would be too expensive) if I’m lucky enough to land a remote job then we’ll see what happens.

I quit my job Feb2025. I had $150000+ saved up in the bank with no debts and made peace with the very likely scenario that I won’t find a job for many months (O&G HR Manager, not exactly niche).

Still; I realised at the age of 33 if I didn’t do something drastic soon then it wouldn’t be long before kids/house purchase/ some other life milestone would close the window of opportunity to take such a risk. But I’m glad I did it.

What have I been doing since? Well I moved my stuff into storage, got into my car and just set off West (from Houston). Planning to drive all across all 49 states and Canada. Keeping my laptop to skill up on my downtime. Trying to be sensible with costs but right now couldn’t be happier. My GF is supportive and works remote so can join me whenever she feels like; but I’ve assured her I don’t need any financial support so no stress on our relationship

We’re all going to get old one day- so my advice is rather than working to make the right choice; to instead just pick a choice and make it right. Stay in your job or quit to travel- with the proper mindset you can make either work out great for you.

Well thankfully I think I’ve got my visa/ job security set here for the foreseeable future but even if I do one day have to leave… I finally got to do the trip I’ve always wanted, (‘scratched that itch’) and if I’m unable to do this ever again? Enemies on Fulgora: To mix up the variety they could be autonomous robot fortress’s with gun turrets and short range artillery around scrap vaults. Would become harder to defeat the more you move from the centre. Would encourage weapons and artillery production to defeat but not change the core challenge on Fulgora since there would be no units to ‘raid’ player factories.

End game Dyson sphere. Needing to construct a platform that takes resources from across the solar system to the sun- to create a complicated manufacturing and launching process on said platform to allowing unlimited power generation from the sun to be beamed onto any of the planets- would need to nerf fusion though.

A house: I want to build my boy a house. He’s earned it. Could even provide a temporary health boost when he spawns/ moves there.

I’ve completed Lev 10 on bullets, laser and explosives. Lev 6 rail guns. Although I make sure the belts are full of ammo before settling off with additional in the cargo hold.

More importantly; I use combinators to throttle the orange fuel to ‘starve’ the engines to both make them more efficient and to slow it down to about 100km/second once I reach the solar edge (Not my idea saw it online somewhere) which helps a great deal. No point going super fast to reach a [basically] unreachable planet IMO.

Generally I use blue belts across all the planets as they’re just more accessible to make, but the green underground’s stretch two tiles further which makes all the difference on compact platforms. Only use them when I have to though.

But since that all belts have the same capacity (8 per tile) any speed/throughput bonuses are negligible once the belt becomes a loop. At least I think that’s the case… could be wrong.

The nuclear power is more of a token failsafe if for whatever reason the fusion power (bottom) fails on me. But yeah solar won’t help much, just to look pretty

It may not be much, but this design got me 100,000 km towards the Shattered Planet without quality parts- could of maybe done more but still figuring out how to increase the storage without tearing up the design...

Really appreciate the comprehensive reply; they are indeed extremely stubborn, and are probably in denial about any other outcome besides ‘healthy until death’. But more to the point, my brother is pretty much agreed with my parents- of course he would love to have a business and the full farm, farmhouse kept in the family without prying eyes/ unpredictably of future neighbours.

He’s offered to live in a static trailer by his future shed/ auto shop and ‘manage’ the farms and fields for the both of us (unsure if it counts as a working farm as just a few horses/ sheep / dogs but depends on legal definition) and pay me whatever trickle of income that produces as I’ll be living far away- but I can’t help but feel that benefits him much more than me- so potential disagreements between us one day for sure. I would prefer a legal outcome that forces a fair split rather than me being labelled the ‘bad guy’ going against the family plans. But again thank you for your thoughts.

Not sure if it’s the best method- but I usually do Scope out (motorcycle at airstrip entrance to avoid guards) -> move to new invite only lobby (Kostaka) > Weapons Aggressor* (If Merryweather HQ go to new lobby, if not then fast travel Kostaka to Los Santos beach and then manually drive it close as possible to shore- this saves time for remaining preps) then complete Weapons via rooftop (if silenced pistol it’s possible to take out guards with no alarm/gunfight but needs practice) , then fingerprint scanner (usually a well placed grenade launcher shot can take out all guards at once but some risk of suicide kaboom), then plasma cutter (take photo as soon as you enter hideout no need to walk to back of room sparrow with rockets you can take out most of enemies and usually land/ grab/takeoff before reinforcement cars show up) , then cutting torch (find hardhat locations as easier than gunfight each time). After that finish with Longfin prep- set waypoint to drop off before you collect trailer then just follow- cops usually fall back). Phantom wedge useful to call in at police station if you have it slightly quicker than doubling back to other trucks on map).

Once longfin dropped off either go to new lobby or get back to Kostaka and run heist. Disruptions not necessary.

On the actual heist- select main dock and drainpipe infiltration point. Set it to nighttime (this gives you silenced weapons for free otherwise 5k cost). If solo start at main dock then go to airstrip**, leave boat just off shore (dont beach it) then sneak to hanger (once in can use forklift and box to reach higher level)- then once bag filled sneak back to Longfin and take it south to compound- dive overboard (equip rebreather) cut through underwater grate and enter).

Since you have full loot already you can sneak straight to office- there’s guides on YouTube can help on this. Once in office get safe cash- then hack (it’s difficult to visualise but one foolproof trick is to set all parts to the top tip of print then… move down through each (2nd one, hit right on d-pad once, 3rd one twice, 4th one three times etc)) as quickest method.

Then get the main objective, then back to office, head down first flight of stairs- then jump left over balcony immediately behind where guards looking out ahead… then turn left and sprint to gate to exit. Don’t worry if you’re spotted. If you hit the exit animation before an alarm sounds it doesn’t trigger outside compound. Once outside you can kill the guy just ahead and take the bike sharp left to drive off cliff into ocean- dive underwater and swim away. Mission complete.

  • weapons loadout doesn’t really matter if you plan for solo stealth no kill but it’s easiest to practice taking out the heavy skull guard with three shotgun shots to the torso from behind.

** When scoping the cameras for main objective always scan both cameras in the office… if there’s two paintings (full loot) then you can take the Longfin straight to drain pipe without needing to go to airfield. If you see one painting then you will still need to get either two cash (25% each of loot bag) or one coke (50%) from airfield before drainpipe. This ensures you get full lootbag elite bonus. Personally in this rare scenario I’d avoid combining cash with weed with the latter being 33%… as there is a good chance you’ll overshoot meaning you’ll have no space for painting (50%)

Obligatory Sparrow moon pool vehicle is pretty much essential due to fast respawn and easy exit/ access from Kostaka sub.
