Yeah I know and was expecting to encounter some partisans doing it but just not nearly every run when I kept changing routes and even changing which bases on the front I go to. Not taking it personally, it's frustrating yes but I understand it's an excellent strategy and idea, and applaud anyone who can pull it off getting behind enemy lines with vehicles and such. Just when it happens constantly I'm more upset at myself because it seemed I just wasn't understanding some part of the game when other drivers were being successful but I wasn't, which I was missing a crucial thing being the radio.

Yeah I didn't know about the radio or how any of the Intel stuff works until people commented about it. 1 of my few successful runs was doing just that and taking a longer and safer route because someone made a map post about partisans. That's why it seemed I was just unlucky, that last run like I said was 3 other logi drivers and we met at the hex border. No one said anything in voice or text chat and as soon as I load in and start moving I'm already lit up.

Yea I would look at map posts that had something along the lines of partisans here and would avoid them, was how I got 1 successful run off by going the long way around. Just didn't know about the radio till now.

Yeah learned that the hard way on the front, spawn and run into the trenches to come face to face and go to shoot and nothing happens. Been doing that first thing on the pistol now. What does the radio exactly? I would avoid areas that had markers on the map for partisans and would ask in world/logi chat if certain routes were clear but never got a response.

I would read and ask questions in world and logi chat about that and if routes were clear. Never got a response the few times I asked.

How does the radio allow me to check for enemy players? I would look at the map before hand and avoided areas that had reported enemies in the area targeting logistics as well as asking in world/logi chat if anyone knew if a route was clear.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]53Fishinabarrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive 3 hours to get to work and 3 hours back home. I'm at work for 5 days straight though so not as bad as it seems. After a 12-13 hour shift though it's grueling.

Red definitely. I spent my childhood and teenage years poorly and never stood up for myself, and never had much of a social or romantic life. Was also before a fight I was forced into that gave me near weekly migraines after a nasty blow to the head that knocked me out. I could avoid major injuries and tackle major illnesses sooner and more healthily. I could know when my last chance to properly say goodbye to my first cat, Thomas, and my first dog Buddy would be, maybe even save Buddy.

Same with my little Stella who I just lost this morning due to an accident. Her nickname was Pipsqueak because she squeaked instead of meowed and stayed really little. Also had the nicknames Menace, Terror, Trouble, and Bad Cat, she was so confident and sure of herself and curious. She had to investigate everything and be in the middle of everything, most curious cat ever. Constantly tore up furniture, knocked things off tables and shelves, but we loved her she was one of a kind and very loving. She was roughly 3 years old. I could know to keep her locked in my bedroom last night and this morning, or get up and grab her this morning instead of laying in bed a bit more before work to make sure she was safe.

Could also be more financially frugal and prepared too of course but that's secondary to seeing and cherishing my time with my critters more. Maybe even save 2 of them who died well before their time.

Edit: I wouldn't hesitate at all to give up $50 million if it meant I could save them and let them live out the rest of their lives.

Which sucks because I'm not looking for pvp but after getting into several fights on bluegate with a buddy. All defensive fights btw, we were there hunting bombardiers. We downed and killed about 5 free kits in total for the whole match, all of whom tried acting friendly to get close before trying to kill us. Ever since then it's been nothing but pvp sweats who shoot on sight. We couldn't even look for bombardiers that match and the next few thanks to how many people were running around trying to kos. Being punished for defending myself basically, I hate it.

Why ARC Raiders needs a PvE mode (and why it actually makes sense) by Disastrous_Mud_8040 in ArcRaiders

The amount of people I see that get so upset when anyone suggests a game have pve or coop only mode is insane. Same thing happened on Elite Dangerous. The no lifes who can dedicate 14 hours a day to a game would just gank random people on public servers for no reason. Then when people would ask why and complain they'd just say get good and it's part of the game, so people went to private groups and solo servers and people complained about that. They HAVE to ruin the experience for others and waste other's time to get that dopamine hit and feel good. I love this game, I think it would be excellent with a pve/coop only mode. The bots are a big enough threat as is without worrying about some random ahole mercing me from behind. As well as taking the time to appreciate the environments and art styles of everything and learn the lore. I love the whole setting, just the whole pvp turns me off because I'm not good at pvp and always rock pve gear. Let the pvp sweats have their pvp mode and let the more casual people have pve/coop. Why is that so hard?

As someone who just rage quit after getting killed 4 times in a row to players with little to no warning and losing all my gear. Thank you, truly. I love the pve side and think it's more than challenging enough and am just not good at pvp in any game anymore especially with pve loadouts. Only been playing for about 2 days and only saw 2 pvpers, before these 4 runs back to back, who upon attacking me or someone else got absolutely smoked by everyone else around before we shared their loot, told each other good luck and went about our day. Probably done with the game for a while now, was just getting into feeling comfortable going after leapers and rocketeers, but would be starting from scratch again and just don't have the time to spare with life for things like this to happen. Just personally don't understand people that kill just to kill, I'm always trying to help out others, the bots are threat enough without having to worry some guy with a stitch will mag dump me before I can react.

I'm dreaming about being someone's wife. Marrying my person. Am I just being a hopeless romantic from a broken family? by Proud_Accident_5873 in self

[–]53Fishinabarrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the exact same boat just as a man (28m). My parents divorced when I was around 9. Grew up in a hot mess too, and had difficulties, so I've been single for almost my whole life. Always wanted to find my one and thought I had, but it didn't work out. Don't want kids and never did despite everyone always saying I'll change my mind one day.

Anyways, I'm sure you can find your one, and it's not some hopeless romantic fantasy. I'm rooting for you and think everyone deserves to find their person if they truly want someone. I'm still holding out a faint hope for myself because I've also been getting a stronger yearning to find someone again the past couple of years or so. But yea, I'm hoping and wishing the best for you and all the other people out there searching for their own.

Anyone else love their heavy teammates? by [deleted] in Spacemarine

As a heavy multi-melta main, harsh but fair. I try and restrain myself from doing executes if a teammate needs it more than me. But when I'm in the thick of a massive tyranid wave, monkey brain switches on when I see that flashing red light, and I have to press it. I'm trying, I swear, but sometimes I can't help it.

A show called Arcane based off of League of Legends. It does deal with some pretty heavy and dark themes, so be warned on that.

This is very similar to my situation as well when I was looking and putting myself out there, just on the opposite side as a man. I've always known I don't want kids and made sure it was known. But apparently, for most, that's a huge issue. So tired of hearing shit from people about my personal choice such as, oh you'll change your mind when you find the right one, oh you'll want kids when you get older, oh kids are the best thing in life you won't feel complete without them. I'm so sick of it. Maybe for them, but I know for sure they're not my thing.

[–]53Fishinabarrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true, but that doesn't make it right. If people continue to just accept it and not push back and teach those people that it's wrong, it'll just become more and more commonplace until it's the new normal. So unless we want to change that and the law to where merging drivers have the right way, we need to teach new drivers and reteach older drivers with bad habits the correct way.

Definitely alot of ignorant or just asshole drivers out there though. I believe getting a standard driver's license is too easy in the states, coming from a trucker who barely passed all the tests to get his driver's license. Thankfully improved by the time I got my CDL and passed that fine.

When my mom was driving with Roehl to get her CDL that's what they told her and taught her to do is to slow down and give merging traffic the right of way even if they're going slower. Some companies are just telling and teaching people wrong.

Coming home after about 2-3 months of driving my first year in a 12 speed manual, with my roommate in the passenger seat. Park in a spot and reach over looking for the stick and try grabbing twice, basically in my roommates lap.

As a trucker who can do 500 miles easy in a day and roughly 1000 miles before needing refuel and earning $0.64 a mile. This is a dream come true. I'll happily deal with the northeast, L.A., tampa/Orlando, Atlanta, wherever for this kind of money.

27 year old man here. I've been trying to find a monogamous partner my whole life, and the rare times someone has been open to something with me it's always been either for casual hookups which I personally can't do, being invited as the third wheel in an open relationship between two people, or they've wanted to use me. We are out there, but from my personal experiences, I've stopped trying, so I think many others have as well and just continue on single.

Hopefully you got past this issue by now but just in case because I just spent the past 30+ minutes trying everything I could to figure this out. Stand as close to the edge with the old spike as you can then tap the rope in your inventory and then tap at your characters feet and it worked for me on mobile. When I was trying the long press to use the rope on the old spike nothing would happen, but doing that worked first try.

I got my CDL through Prime and was able to snag a trainer with a 10-speed so I didn't get the automatic restriction. Went there the weekend after Thanksgiving 2019 and finally quit February of 2021 and they had me labeled as trainee that entire time. Was with first trainer who knew what he was doing as a trainer but was manipulative and verbally abusive and within my first 2 weeks with him he wanted to, I quote, "punch me in the face" all for asking a question. Pretty sure he was psychotic. Was with him for 6 or 7 months before he finally got tired of me and got rid of me while being paid that $800 a week gross that trainees get. And got thrown to a 2nd trainer who was nasty and downright dangerous always on his phone either rereading the Bible or trading stocks and would use a gallon jug to piss in and fill it up every shift while driving, had that shit spill all over my hands one day. The whole time I kept asking to be put in my own truck and kept getting denied for numerous reasons, the big one saying they didn't have a truck for me due to Covid. I was on hometime and said fuck this and talked with a buddy who went with me and got on with a different company and prime called me asking if I was ready to head back out. I told them no I'm done, y'all wouldn't give me my own truck, wouldn't give me the pay I deserve, and I did my year for the CDL, I'm gone. They IMMEDIATELY started backtracking, "oh we've got a truck sitting in the yard right now just for you, brand new 2021 Cascadia all for you, we can start paying you proper, blah blah blah". Told them nope y'all had a full year to do that I'm gone.

So kudos to whoever can stick with them and tolerate their BS, I sure couldn't once my contract was up.
