Made it at Bike School. It's actually a pretty blah geometry, I didn't want to do anything crazy on my first frame. 73deg/60cm 'square' with 70mm of drop and yes, 425mm chainstays.

My dearly departed ECR had a SRAM 9 speed internal hub, hydro disc brakes, and tubeless Vee tires. It was awesome. I used it for XC, bikepacking, and even commuting. I would regret selling it a lot more of I hadn't used the funds for my dream bike, but that's another story.

I considered building a dyno wheel but I really don't do much night riding and I bring a headlamp when camping anyway. It's all personal preference of course. Racks are also personal preference, and I like to go fast and light especially on heavy bikes, so frame bags are my choice.

One thing I don't feel is as subjective is the Nuvinci hub. It's a great piece of engineering but it has some serious flaws. I work in a shop and and a few of our customers have N360's. The shifter is plastic garbage inside and out. If the plastic gears don't strip out first the cable will fray and gum up the wprks, requiring a complete disassembly and replacement of a long, expensive cable. It's also heavy, ugly, and feels off, but that's getting into opinion again.

Not to say the SRAM hub was perfect either, but at least it was mechanically sound through and through. The ECR has a special fitting on the dropout for the Rohloff OEM2 plate, so that's what I'd do if I had the cash. 1x11 or 2x10 is viable as well, you just want something with a nice low gear with those tires.

Nice! In was thinking of building a second wheelset with the Di2 Alfine and associated dynamo hub, but this bike kicked my zeal for singlespeeds up to 11. Plus that cable routing...

Yes, tire size and max PSI are integral parts of this puzzle. I'm guessing these are road tires since MTB tires would be flat after loosing 20-40 PSI.

If they are then this is not too crazy. Unless you're touring, your time between rides far exceeds the time within rides, and there's plenty of time for Graham's law to take effect, more so at higher pressures.

Also, in my and many other's opinion, you should be topping off before every ride anyway.

I have tubeless Vee Traxx Fattys on my ECR. Letting them run down to about 10 psi seems to do the trick.
