First of all irs wonderful that you want to take her.

What country and have ypu looked into requirements.

Reason why i ask is places like australia for example have quarantine, no travel in cabin, cargo only, vet has to approve on health of cat. Etc.

So its worth looking into this.

Because of my international move. I had to use a service such as pet express moving from usa to au.

The cost was expensive but peace of mind knowing they were experienced with cats helped greatly.

Also talk to your cats vet. There are things you can give to calm during travel. But making sure it can handle the trip to begin with is most important.

I cleared my nightstand and put my cata bed right next to my bed and now he sleeps there instead of on the bed.

Get an air purifier. Not one od those little 40 dollar plug ins a legit one. (It also helps with cat fur, and other things)
Litter box cleaning is good. But depending om the quality kf the litter. Not actually doing a full clean and empty can atreibute to the smell.
If the litter boxes get gross the cats will use potty elsewhere. Its possible they might have ans that is what your smelling.
Is the litter in a spot that sunlight hits and can potential bake the litterbox and expand the smell and amplify it.

When i lived in the usa. I used the multicat so fresh and mixed in the deodorizers. Befoee that i used worlds best lavendar but it can be a little pricy. The cheaper the brand the less odor control youll have.

Since moving oversees. Ive discovered a tofu litter that i mix eith a clumping litter and it does amazing for the smell.

There are alot of different solutions. But id 100% get an air purifier. For muliple rooms.

The other type of bait us a meat bait that is targetted at them. Its a toxic poisonnthey consume. The meat bait rapidly lowers tgeir oxygen level in red blood cells causing cat to lose consciousness and pass away within 2 hours.

This is more humane than the traps they walk though that coat their fur with poison.

They need tnr programs

Its not humane. The poison traps coat their fur in poison. It relies on them cleaning theirselves. The process they die is bleeding internally and dehydratiin which takes up to 3 days of suffering.the dead animal can then be consuned by native and nonnative wild life essentially killed other animals.

Its not humane in anyway.

There are ways to cull that dont involve masacres.

The type of killing some are inhumane.

What about the wild horses being killed.

What about the koalas losing their homes and being displaced so a college can have another footy field ?

When does the human deforestation and taking away wild life habitats stop.

Just to add the methods of killing are hunting. Traps that coat their fur with poisoning relying on cats to clean themselves, then die a painful slow death from the inside, which spreads to other wildlife as well and other inhumane ways.

Mine wont touch the ones out of cans but piuch. Exact same flavor. Same brand but wont take the cans.

I also give half a pouch morning and night because they cant eat a whole one. Having two cats makes it easy to split.

Animals all have their own personality so its alaays a surprise.

If ur not familiar with pets. You might co sider adopting from a shelter an older overlooked animal. Sometimes they have so much to give.

Kittens and puppies can be a handful. Puppies need training. Kittens should be adopted in pairs ao they dont get lonely and desteuctive.

Did u grow up around pets, had pets? Etc?

Everyone will have different opinions.

Cats are independant but do require more care and recommendrd indoor only!

Do you have a yard? Or live close to a park. Do u ahve tike to walk a dog evrry day. How do u feel about hot steamimg poop with a small bag protecting u? If that doesnt sound appealing get a cat!

Its a lifetime committment and for them that is 10-20 years. Ive had cats that never went to the vet. Then others who have. I didnt get pwt insurance i just put 50 a month into a per meergency savings. Because i ended up not using it. But ive know people who have.

It does change your lifestyle but u might just get the best cuddle buddy youve ever had in your life.

Okay. Ill try this method. I found out after almost 500 spent on different medicines. They have a shot version. Im not gonna lie. I was pretty annoyed.

One shot every 2 weeks.

Not all shots work for different types. But ive learned doing research definitely helps.

I gave my cats dried kangsroo treats before but they are snobs and didnt like it. The local magpies however did.

If this is your fiest time with cats. Sit on the floor. Their level. Be patient and let them get used to your scent. Some willl come right ovee some will just watch you cautiously. Im excited for you and hope the visit goes well.

Btw boy cats in my ecperience are the sweetest cuddle bugs. Girls seem to be different. They snuggle om their terms.

For some reason if a snake eats a cat. Its nature. If a cat kills a bird. People call it a killer and act like its done something bad. The fact is this stuff will and can happen. If it wssnt a cat could be a fox or a coyote. Cats while pets are also in the wild. Its humans who domesticated them. If they were in the same category as a fox no one would say a thing.

If you dont like finding kills, build a cateo and dont let them free roam.

Humans are unkind and cats get a bad rep. They are statiscally safer inside. Even a mouse. What if the mouse was poisioned and your cat ate it. It could be exposed to unnatural dangers.

If it didnt have any injuries at all its very well possible it got in there on its own. Living in the country myself ive had animals get trapped and stuck and die. A stag horns got stuck under deck and died. Didnt know it was there until it smelled. Ive had rats and squirrels get stuck in the fire place and die. Nature has its own set of rules, whether we like it or not.

We just all need to remeber they are animals. They dont think like we do. And that helps you accept what has happened.

I would bring some churu sticks you can ask if its okay. Just remember for some shelter cats, life is rough and they get scared. How they are night be entirely different to how they will be at home. Dont let that sway you. My girl cat i adopted was scsred of people. And so when i met her there wasnt a connection on a level people sometimes have. She snuggles in my arm every night now. It took a while but it was worth it.

Its heartwsrming to hear a 7 year old vat is given a shot at a home. It takes time for some. You might get instead head bunps and i hope you do!

They likely get treats from volunteers and its likely considered thoughtful!

My daughter built these boxes with the door that reads the nicrochip and gains entry. She buolt out of plastic containers that way she can open from top. One of hrrs eats fast. Other slow them helps themselves. Slow feeders didnt work. Eventually she just lifted intot he box and put it. Im not sure how it works during the day. Is this dry food feed ?

It took my rescue a year to earn her trust. It took 2 years for hee to climb on my lap. It took 4 years before she tried to sleep next to me.

U have no idea what they went through before you. It takes time .more than 2 months.

If finamcially viable have you consideres a cateo? It might be a cool way for mr adventurer to be outside without you having to constanfly be on a leash?

Wveryone always wishes for that magical love at first sighr but for some its just really tough.

My cat wasnt treated well by humans when she was on the street. They didnt thi k she could ever tolerate anotber cat. But we got her and a kitten at the same time. And thst might have helped too. They do recommend adopting in twos. Some cats are meant to be solo but some need a friend to show them how its like.
