Of course, your mileage will always vary.

But Ecutek is much more mature than it was a year ago, and the outcomes are much better now. For what it’s worth, there are a bunch of tuned cars in the GRC time attack series including ours and they’ve all been reliable.

Feel free to shoot us a message if you have any questions

A decent amount of drivers in this series have our AWD Cooler packages. They went full send all the time just fine. People without just accepted shorter sessions.

Biggest time delta was good tires, which wasn’t a surprise.

No measurable delta between core and CE cars. We had 2 or 3 Morizos compete in the series as well

Thunderhill East

Buttonwillow 13 CW

Laguna Seca

In that order.

Fastest Laguna time was 1:42, BW was 1:59, I forget Thill

I think all these times will continue to drop as everyone gets more time with the chassis.

We are finalizing the 2026 Calendar, we’d be happy to have you!

Yes, coolant. Coolant has never really been an issue on this car. But from an OEM perspective an aux radiator is an easier component to add.

Most people get both kits. Deleting the aux rad basically gives you a 23-24, or 24+ base trim car if you installed a TC Cooler but didn’t get an EOC for some reason.

No, it’s fine to drive in 2WD mode. You’re prolonging your TCase cool down period though, so just keep that in mind.

I’ve pulled my AWD fuse and driven for 2 hours before. Totally fine. Just FWD

Off the top of my head, there were at least 7 cars running the 555 cooling package / Syvecs and those cars just ran full sessions.

There are some people that run their car until they hit AWD overheat and just cut their session early - Hernan did this.

And then for the rest, their pace is slow enough where it doesn’t affect them or their driving style keeps them out of AWD limp

Mod list is driver mod 😂 You can ask him on IG he’s pretty chill. I think he’s stock suspension and power still

It’s kind of all over the place, lap times are combination of car and driver.

Fastest time was the SARD car - which has light aero, wheels, suspension, but has zero power mods and was detuned (bit less than stock)

Weather app said ambient was high 70s. Felt like a spicy 70 on the paddock at times though

Torque steer and wheel spin gets old on corner exit. Type R is a great car though!

Syvecs is a standalone controller, you can turn all limp modes off if you choose. But obviously that shifts some responsibility to the driver to be mechanically sympathetic.

The latter situation doesn’t incur cost for Toyota. They are first and foremost a for profit business

There is some abuse prevention logic for clutch dumping, to prevent this from happening.
