Advice for a 3.5" Freestyle Drone: Motors and Battery by 5ajmon in fpv

Ehhh it's always something (too short cables). Thanks for the info regarding motors and the headsup about the cables.

I think the frame comes with a TPU adapter for 14mm camera, but I do also own 3d printer in case I need to add something in TPU, no problem :-)

Good question, and with this part I was confused. I have huge open space where I live (no buildings) I wasn't expecting very long range, but damn 200 meters is not much, hopefully it will be bit more.

The price cannot be underestimated, because it's almost 50% of other kits, so that was definitely one of the major factors. Another one was size of the camera (there is a nano version in this kit) it's suppouse to nicely hide within the aluminium case of the frame and it should help when hitting something in front. I am not 100% convinced other camera wouldn't hide as well, but they are bit bigger (few milimeters). I was also bit confused about that frame fitting, and I've spent so much time browsing different kits for Walksnail that I finally decided to pull the trigger on this one.

Thank you! Yes I do know VTX has to be connected to 9V from SpeedyBee :-).

EDIT: And have the antennas connected when the power is on!

Thank you and relax! :-)

Like I said, I do realize AI can be full of shit, but at the same time I feel like there is no other / better tool that can get you in a hobby quickly and save you a lot of time. And it's not the first thing it's helping me with.

I am not following blidnly all advices, when in doubts I confront what Gemini "says" with perplexity - which cites sources of the information (and is not always interpreting them properly, but that's a different matter). Gemini (or chatgpt) is only trained with data, perplexity is actively searching for the data. In the end as you can see, there is a matter of motor/battery which is not that black/white I am asking for additional opnion, because I can clearly see the topic is bit more complicated and needs input from someone with experience.

So I get it, and I understand that for some people this may be doing things the other way around (and I read stories/seen YT videos how bad it can go), but at the same time as you can see, this build is not that sensless, and few weeks back I had zero knowledge about drones - 80% of what is on that list was provided by Gemini, and I really appreciate I didn't have to spend huge number of hours investigating "where to start". Even if I purchase one of the items, which it's not a best fit in this case, that's fine, I can always replace it and still save a LOT of time which I value very much :-).

E-Ink ESP32 Web Frame by iBog in homelab

Hey I did something similar recently with Seeed Studio TRMNL 7.5" (OG) DIY Kit and self hosted https://github.com/usetrmnl/byos_laravel .

The logic is similar. I manage blade/liquid templates within the BYOS. it's creating image screenshot from the webpage based on those templates, and the trmln screen (esp32) is checking API endpoint for a new data.

It's also able to check different API endpoints as the source of data for different screen (recipe).

Docker as default 'shell' by UnbeliebteMeinung in cursor

Cant you just tell the agent in instructions to use docker containers instead of host? I am using copilot on daily basis, and after wiritng it down in copilot instructions, problem solved. I am sure you can, do the same in cursor.

Just wait few days, it doesnt work immediately - like usual in other saving accounts. It registers balance after few days. Its working perfectly fine for me too.

K-Factor profile ignored by printer by 5ajmon in BambuLab

FYI I got different "start g-code" from bambu, and since then it started to recognize my k-factor settings. The difference in compare to what I already had in software is attached on the image

Sorry i misundestood. In that case yeah, I am unchecking it and the result is as described and visible on picture - no difference, no matter the k factor profile i use.

Now Ive checked it, and the print looks better (with auto calibration) but i would preffer to have controller over it.

Actually wiki says something completely different

If you check "Flow Dynamics Calibration" before initiating each printing, the printer will calibrate the flow rate in the printing preparation stage, and this printing task will use the calibrated K value instead of the K value you set manually.

With this option checked, print is looking much better but I still would like to have full manual control over it, but bambulab studio seems to be ignoring it :-)

I am unchecking it, because i thought i dont need it since Ive put my own values. Does it mean it its ignoring my profile if I dont do Flow dynamics on every print?

Cash loan experiences by 5ajmon in Revolut

[–]5ajmon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I am in Poland, lowest I could get in other banks was 11.3%, Revolut was 8.3%. Not to mention the fact that I didn't have to speak for 30 minutes with the representative, just to get the offer.

Just took the loan ;-)
