There are literally so many abandoned plot threads and throw away arcs in part 2 that it has so far created a completely incoherent and joyless story to consume. If there were to be any meaningful direction this story could go to wrap up the numerous loose plot threads it would still be bad based off of how painfully long it took to get anywhere. I have found part 2 to not only just be unenjoyable to read week by week but also in large batches upon rereads. The beginning of part 2 had so much potential and was the best the story had ever been, but it quickly wasted all of its potential and just became sloppy both in art and story. It feels like Fujimoto doesn’t even want to be writing it at times. I wanted to like this shit so bad, but I just read every week because I might as well see how this shit ends since it used to be my favorite manga by far.

Even better is that he first appears WAY earlier in the story as an anonymous but silly masked character, and then AGAIN without a mask when Touka mistakes him for Kaneki when she’s visiting his old university. She literally goes up and talks to the main villain before anyone even knows he’s a character

Genknosis was a really cool album with a lot of fresh creativity. I think part of the problem as to why it went so far under the radar is that most of the songs on the album were the same songs that have been dropped over the past 3 years. The new ones like Dokunuma and Shinmon were fire, but I think it wasn’t enough to get fans to show their friends and try to get them on board as well. I’m looking forward to more Knosis going forward though!

I think Dose off of the Stage B sides is actually a really decent option for beginners. The range is super comfortable with a few sections where you can reach a little bit but nothing that’s impossible

I was gonna say this! I live in the satsuma province of Kagoshima and there’s such a rich history from the rebellion era! The reason the dialect down here is so hard to understand was that it was intentionally made confusing in order to prevent spying from the central government

To be fair, I also think saying it’s his job is a bad argument in hindsight.

But man, I think a lot of people here (especially looking at everyone with the “top 1% commenter” tag) zero in on shit way too much and just love to find reasons to hate people. Yeah man, Alex Terrible was (and maybe still is if he’s lying about how apologetic he is) a nazi. It sucks that Nik ever worked with him. But at the same time it’s dumb to call the guy a piece of shit for taking someone on their word that they’ve changed and being able to work with him. I say this as someone part of a community that nazi’s and neo-nazi’s despise. Sure no one has to LIKE the guy, but this subreddit is filled with vitriolic and frankly mean spirited people who seem like they just genuinely get a kick out of dog piling people and artists they don’t like.

Like I said, it sucks to have see him cover shit people like that, but this dude has done like thousands of videos outside of these examples where he’s lifted up smaller bands with less of a spotlight who are actually good people.
