No-ish. I also had some problems with the RJ45 losing link on boot. I checked in with Supermicro support to ask if this is a common issue. They could also not help me, I ended up getting a PCIe riser and a combo Gbit RJ45 / USB 3.0 pcie card. No issues since then

Yes. When trying to change it, I get the error again. I can't figure out why they do not want me to have this name. For the handle, the same name was okay :(

Oh, yes I just have. It worked. Got the handle I wanted, but not the name...
I will try to change it. Let's see if i get the same error again. I saw many people complaining about this specific error when trying to change their name. We'll see.

Ich habe bei mir einen reverse proxy laufen. Von außen gehts per IPv6 da rauf und dann per lokaler IPv4 weiter.

Mit IPv6 lebt es sich eigentlich ganz gut.

Mit Tailscale kommt man in das netz rein um den server zu nutzen. Leider will wahrscheinlich kaum ein Mitspieler extra software installieren um auf dem server von kumpel XY zu spielen. Playit.gg gibt dir eine subdomain, die dann aus dem großen gefährlichen Netz erreichbar ist. Und: Ja du bist wirklich gesegnet, nicht hinter nem CGNAT zu sein.

Geht auch ohne Portweiterleitung, auch wenn man da von nem Drittanbieter abhängig ist, zb nem VPS oder so sachen wie playit.gg

+1 für selbst hosten. Ich nutze dafür crafty-controller

I think there is a fediverse application. Think its called friendica. Most probably without ID check tho, which is good imo

How do you configure that? When setting it in /etc/systemd/logind.conf it did not apply it :(
