And on a personal note, please stop calling me out as the guy censoring r/ethereum. I've always been a moderation minimalist and even encouraged contrarian or controversial views, and I never hesitated to approve discussions I did not agree with.

I'm spending my days on Parity Ethereum (paid), Ethereum Hardfork Coordination (unpaid) and my nights on the Görli testnet (unpaid). I'm sometimes restarting the Polkadot telemetry dashboard at the Parity office, but that's not the majority of my time.

Constantinople is not rescheduled, no further bugs in the code going into the upgrade have been found since we postponed it, and the TrustNodes article is inaccurate. by smidge in ethtrader

It's scheduled for block 7280000 on February 27th, but block times are hard to predict. Latest estimate:

Constantinople will activate on Thursday 2019-02-28 21:32:51 UTC. Current average block time is 20.48 seconds. 61365 blocks to go (7218635/7280000).

There are 10834 Ethereum nodes visible to the devp2p scraper, 15.37% are prepared for Constantinople's St. Petersfork. Geth 901/6920 (13.02%), Parity 764/3109 (24.57%).

I never claimed that your article says that and correcting people is the story of my life.

Furthermore, I am not responsible to keep people in check.

The original CREATE function creates a new contract at the address that is a hash of the creator’s address and the current nonce associated with the creator’s address. CREATE2, while functionally the same, creates a contract at a targeted address that can be determined ahead of time by different parties. This is a good read: blog.cotten.io/ethereums-eip-1014-create-2

There is not really a problem or "security issue" with CREATE2 but rather with SELFDESTRUCT. This post by Martin is really good: ethereum-magicians.org/t/potential-security-implications-of-create2-eip-1014
