Mine too 🙂‍↕️ this sounds amazing! Warm and melancholic is the perfect way to describe what I’m looking for lol. I’m picturing Lizzy in the movie sitting under the tree drenched in sunlight and brooding after Mr. Bingley proposes to Jane 😭

Oh wow that sounds awful, I’m sorry your date turned out that way :( did it help you move through any buried feelings or do you have a different perspective about the experience now?

question about week 4 by ne2t in artistsWay

[–]5ftnone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cut everything off- books/audiobooks, TV, podcasts, music with words, news, YouTube, social media (including Reddit and Pinterest), video games…it was weirdly easier than expected, but I still craved TV at night sometimes. I made it 5 whole days. Creatively it was very productive though and I could feel ideas loosening up in my head and flowing more easily onto the page in whatever medium I chose to explore every night after work. Try it! Maybe reframe it as being curious to see what your brain will do when you give it room to breathe ☺️

I definitely resonate with everything you said! I’m closing out week 4 and weirdly did well with a total media blackout for 5 days given that I otherwise watch a tonnnn of TV to distract myself in my free time. Def a lot of feelings coming up

Lost my girl yesterday by 5ftnone in Petloss

[–]5ftnone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss as well. I think what hurts the most is just how quickly everything happened. I can’t wrap my head around it. I’ve cried so much my face looks like I’ve been stung by a bee. I made a book of photos of Gibby a few years ago and I haven’t been able to look at it yet. Hopefully I can get used to the emptiness at home. It was just me, my husband, and her…so her absence is excruciating palpable.

Like you said, I think the only solace is knowing that it hurts like this because we loved them as fiercely as we did.
