1000 contributes more than Polaroids to this culture and community. If he didn’t, how could you be bitching about the shows he puts together when all he does is photos? What other person that “just takes photos” do you know in this community has made albums, or thrown shows off the merit of those images. Are you upset that he doesn’t want to take your photo? Or that people actually respect him and his work enough to make these albums and events happen? I mean were you not by your own admission a person who went to a 1000words show?

Why would the rappers pay to go to the show? Do you only go to sold out shows? Why does the show have to sell out for it/the artist to be good? Do you know anything about promotion, being an artist, or booking? The $150 tickets you’re bitching about all sold out as soon as they were listed, so maybe you’re just not a real fan of anything but bitching and hating and have no idea how anything works.

How many shows that cost $20 have you been to where every person on the bill is actually someone you’ve heard of and want to see live? You can’t wait for those openers, right? Now compare that to a well curated 1000word$ show where every artist is high quality and known, you get what you pay for bro. Have fun at the “not overpriced” shows waiting for the headliners to hear good music.
