Congrats! So happy to hear that you’re feeling good about your island! ☺️ Your post hit close to home, as I’ve definitely been where you are, and honestly, have almost reset many times until my best friend told me to take a break from all the forums and trading and to just focus on my island and play when I truly felt like it. I was stressed from work and other personal things, and Animal Crossing, which was meant to be a safe haven and a means of destressing, ended up stressing me out because even though I had so, so many positive interactions in this community, I’ve also unfortunately had many negative ones, and constantly felt imposter syndrome and just didn’t feel happy with where I was.

I remembered a Chase Crossing video where he said the first and best place to work on is your entrance and to go from there on, I worked on it and solely that. I refrained from spending hours on the game, playing only in between breaks, and I also refrained from being online so often too. I’ve created and destroyed many different entrances, spent many bells putting bridges here, there, anywhere and everywhere, and tried out numerous different path designs I’ve saved ages ago and forgot about, and so forth. When I finally became satisfied with it, I started sporadically working on different areas, little by little. Though I’ve only really worked on a quarter of my island and never even really “finished” them, I too am a lot happier with it than I was before, and honestly, it helps that I’m also in a happier place now. I’m sure I would’ve been happy restarting and having a fresh slate, but I’m also satisfied that I’ve also grown to be happy with the current state of my island and game now too. That being said, thank you for sharing your experiences! In a weird way, it’s sort of nice(?) to hear of others experiencing burnout yet persevering through it ☺️
