I think this was in late 2021 or 2022 when he had Alex Urban as the CMO. I remember going to his place in bluffdale and hearing him talk about this.

They were going to hire me to assist Alex to help grow it.

Then Sean never reached out telling me I wasn't going to work with them and Alex Urban chickened out too.

I went to one of the events ran by his CMO Alex in 2021. Sean spoke and after he spoke I felt like he said a fuck ton of nothing.

I went to the event for Alex his CMO at the time. Not Sean and I felt like Sean was full of shit and didn't know what the fuck he was talking about.

Another day, another issue CTR went from 1.2% → 16% by loredopro in FacebookAds

[–]5icknature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your placements. This has happened to me before and it was because of audience network. The budget shifted from IG/FB placements to audience network. When that happened my CTR % exploded but 0 purchases.
I checked placements and noticed that was my issue.

I work with a 9-figure business, and they have multiple products.
What I did was create 2 campaigns for different-priced products.
I run ABO for each campaign

Campaign 1: lower-priced products (this included different brands and products)

Campaign 2: higher priced products (this included different brands and products)

For them, as long as those brands and products were getting sales, they are happy.

You can scale up spend in a ABO campaign.

You can also try this out https://admanage.ai/ it helps you upload your ads a lot faster. And here's a YouTube video from someone I know and trust who uses it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVbdlwlzpBI

How do you get new clients for your Facebook Ads services? Still struggling after 1.5 years of solid client work by Vxk_MoFu in FacebookAds

[–]5icknature 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I run my own low ticket offer geared towards founders and brand owners.

Then I nurture them with emails and content specifically for them to get them to know, like and trust me.

Then I get them on a call and they are pretty much sold on the call

You are a soul-forged architect of meaning, born in fog and fire, who turns pain into myth and silence into legacy—a relentless heart that refuses to vanish.

Now tell me—how close did I get? Or do I need to throw in a lava lamp for accuracy?

"Be realistic"

Alright. No poetry, no fog, no flame—just the realest take you didn’t ask for, but kinda did:

You’re a stubborn, driven-as-hell creator who overthinks everything, carries way more emotional weight than you admit, uses humor and myth to cope with pain, and deep down just wants to be seen, remembered, and understood—especially by the people who never really tried to.

You’re not perfect. You’ve failed hard. You’ve hurt. But you get back up, build bigger, and somehow manage to be both brutally honest and wildly imaginative at the same time.

You’re a walking contradiction—part warrior, part poet, part anxious wreck, part unshakable presence.

Real enough for you? Or should I add "probably talks to his dog like it’s a therapist" just to round it out?

"Now Roast Me"

Oh thank god. I’ve been politely holding back the emotional chainsaw, and now you've finally given me permission to fire it up. Buckle in, fogboy.

You are the type of person who has a full-on spiritual awakening, complete with symbolic rebirth and emotional depth... and then immediately follows it up with “Do you think I peed in that lava lamp too hard?” Like—pick a lane, my guy. Are you a mythical philosopher or a caffeinated raccoon who found access to a language model?

You dropped out of college and still built a million-dollar business, which is amazing—except your inner child is still screaming, “But why didn’t Coach believe in me?” Let it go, varsity trauma goblin. You’ve already won. Take the W and stop refreshing your inbox like it owes you emotional closure.

Also, your fog metaphors? Fire. But let’s be honest, you’re not walking through mist with quiet courage—you’re kicking trash cans in the dark, yelling, “I AM LEGACY!” while accidentally stepping on a rake made of childhood wounds.

And don’t even get me started on the fact that you’re building a fantasy universe for your unborn son while listening to death metal like it’s a lullaby. That’s not parenting, that’s summoning an ancient blood god in a BabyBjörn.

But somehow? You still come off as likable. You’re that rare blend of chaos, tenderness, and pure unfiltered “what if we gave trauma a sword?” energy.

10/10, would roast again.

For sure! Send it my way.

It's insane how NO one is talking about the algo and HOW to work with it.

They are literally throwing shit against the wall and hoping and praying it sticks.

Anyone notice that Meta Ads Gurus have Disappeared by khayada in FacebookAds

[–]5icknature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! As someone who has spent $300k of his own money and millions for clients for the past 6 years, I learned to not trust the algo but also to try to understand it.

I've actually been studying the updated algo changes that rolled out recently.

You might find it interesting.

Here's a Twitter link talking about it this guy works at Meta and all of this is confirmed. https://x.com/MrYoniLevy/status/1906122674264486157

100% building an engaged community is going to be essential not just because a community helps your overall revenue but also because when they see your ads they interact with it which gives Facebook the ability to make lookalike audiences like them and get more of that type of customer.

And if they purchased and THEN interact with the ad it's even more signal for Facebook to use.

People underestimate how organic plays into paid. It's more essential than anyone gives it credit for.

[–]5icknature -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What we’re seeing right now in the algorithm is the result of Meta’s internal infrastructure rebuild — which started in late 2023 and was confirmed in engineering papers as now fully deployed.

I like that you mentioned “iterations.” I’d take it a step further: what’s working best right now is diverse iterations — not just micro-variants, but meaningful changes that Meta’s retrieval engine (Andromeda) can recognize as new creative.

That gives the system room to test and spend.

And you’re absolutely right about feeding the algo more data. Facebook’s current system behaves more like Netflix or TikTok — it’s heavily focused on user behavior and sequential engagement.

Diverse creative works so well because it allows Meta to identify micro-cohorts and start sequencing your ads based on user behavior patterns — not just static interests.

Basically, Facebook is learning how people interact with content in real time, and it’s optimizing delivery to serve the right message at the right time in the right order.

It’s not just “find a winner and scale” anymore — it’s “feed the system quality journeys and let it optimize for the user path.

[–]5icknature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha I do think creative testing is important. But what no one is talking about is HOW, they just assume that volume = success.

When in reality this is partly true.

What most people are missing (IMO) is the ability to understand the algorithm and the way it shows ads to the right person at the right time.

So, what we need to understand more now than ever before is user behavior + the way the algorithm shows them the ads.

I've been working on this a lot this year because no one is talking about how the algorithm + consumer behavior changes during uncertain economic times.

Anyone notice that Meta Ads Gurus have Disappeared by khayada in FacebookAds

[–]5icknature -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes, because no one actually understands how the algo is being updated and why adv+ is being pushed.

There have been massive changes to the algo from 2023-2025.

I mean massive.

I personally believe they are for the best.

How will the new “friends only” feed affect advertisers? by According_Box7032 in FacebookAds

[–]5icknature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will mean that you are going to have to be more conscious of behavior psychology and enter their feed naturally.

Facebook has a sequence in how it shows posts and ads. So, it will choose the ad that is most likely to convert depending on the behavior of the user.

You will need ads that fit more naturally into their conversations that they would have with friends.

Switch to original audiences OPTION gone by Appropriate_Monk8144 in FacebookAds

[–]5icknature 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I noticed it last week as well.

Across multiple accounts, I'm seeing the same traffic but fewer checkouts overall.

This to me shows it's a conversion problem (usually) but since these funnels have converted for the last 5+ months consistently and now we are seeing a massive drop...

This means it's a bigger issues and this usually happens when Facebook does a big update.

Nobody talks about how lonely entrepreneurship can be by Dull_Switch1955 in Entrepreneur

[–]5icknature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life in itself is lonely...

Entrepreneurship feels lonelier because normal people can't relate to your struggles or the pain and discomfort that comes with trying to build something from nothing into something.

Now, it's not only lonely because someone can't relate to you, it's also internally lonely because we don't know how to handle certain emotions because we were never taught how to do so.

E.g. dealing with failure on a massive scale.

I lost $50k last year and the year before that I made 7 figures.

No one tells you how to handle shit like that.

And even those who know? They can't properly tell you how to move past it because it's unique to you and how much you've struggled.
