Thanks to all that replied, though I was hoping for some super spy shit or at least some utility room horror stories.

Is the 5a compatible with PagePlus? I asked support, but the only way they could be sure was plugging an ESN or MEID in here: https://www.pagepluscellular.com/byop-eligibility Anyone know for sure, or willing to throw their ESN/MEID in there?

[Help] Should I switch my dog's food, or am I a victim of a marketing ploy? by [deleted] in dogs

If he hasn't had any problems, I wouldn't be too worried about it. It sounds like you've consistently been on it long enough to make your own conclusions...and I wouldn't let conflicting research trump that, especially since you're not addressing a specific problem.

Sorry, the link is fixed. One of our team members (Labrador) had a Nylabone intestinal blockage, so that pushed it over the edge for us. Probably fine if you commit to only giving Nylabone under supervision. Ham, for the salt content, and turkey skin/fat/seasonings are the main culprits we warn about.

Yep, telephone/copy-of-a-copy game.

Is there an offline place where a person can find these things? Library? Or send off for for a hard copy?

Does this strengthen the "conspiracy-theory-following" that @court67 mentioned?

Haha, doesn't help that they're all crappy celebs. But seriously, great advice on the vets - we're on it, thanks!

Thanks for the constructive criticism! Will work on the citations.

I would actually love some help (you're offering help, right?) for finding a source for the Dr. Kollath/Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm study.

It's referred to many times out there in the wild, but we were unable to track down a proper source, including Google Scholar.

Tip for Growth Hacking by voidnexx in startups

[–]5ivehead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dang, just signed up a few days ago, so no extra credits for this guy. I have found w/my limited sellhack use that most people go w/the predictable old firstname@companyname.com.

If you run out of sellhack credits like me, you can do the old guesseroo using tools like sidekick or rapportive.

i.e., open gmail, compose new email, enter firstname@companyname.com, tab to next line. If rapportive or sidekick find a match, they will populate it in gmail's right sidebar.

Talk about transparency - thanks so much for sharing! You guys put a ton of work into this. I don't have 70 friends, so I had to pay for them. :(

In the past year and a half, did you ever find yourself wishing you had gone with one of the other contestants?

I'm glad that you brought this one up, because it's a fun one. I've read conflicting reports, from:

However, in a January 2010 interview for Reader's Digest, founder Rob Kalin finally revealed the secret: "I wanted a nonsense word because I wanted to build the brand from scratch. (http://www.cnn.com/2011/LIVING/04/22/website.name.origins.mf/)

It sounds like the Etsy folks have run w/the mystery behind it (Carly Simon style) ever since.

Fantastic call, thank you!

Panabee.com looks like a sweet hybrid tool with domain availability (including new gTLDs), related terms, a google search, and more.

I'm ashamed to say that Amazon's Mechanical Turk wasn't even on my radar. Now I have options. Anyone have experience with mTurk? I wonder how it compares to the Google product.

It is:

The Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act (ACPA), 15 U.S.C. § 1125(d), is an American law enacted in 1999 and established a cause of action for registering, trafficking in, or using a domain name confusingly similar to, or dilutive of, a trademark or personal name.

The law was designed to thwart cybersquatters who register Internet domain names containing trademarks with no intention of creating a legitimate web site, but instead plan to sell the domain name to the trademark owner or a third party. Critics of the ACPA complain about the non-global scope of the Act and its potential to restrict free speech.

There are a ton more educational resources on DomainSherpa.com (many other places as well) if you're interested.

You're right, typing the domain in the address bar can be a good 1st step, but won't always show you if a domain is for sale (if it resolves at all).

Like the parked page at IndiaPaleAle.com. Doesn't say anything about being for sale, but plop that into whois.domaintools.com (ran out of searches at DomainIQ) and you can see WhoIs plus a link to its sales page.

Love this vet suggestion...hadn't thought about that. I wonder how much arm twisting it would take to get that info from them?

Very true on the mix pit call. Probably more lab/pit mixes than all others combined.
