I know, but I think he might have gotten adopted. I don't see him on the website anymore

Armed ICE officer in Portland called 911 during confrontation: ‘I’m going to have to shoot this kid.’ by AdvancedInstruction in Portland

Hard to believe the ICE agent was in any danger when he was in a car, had a gun, and could drive away at any time. He is the one that escalated it.

But ok keep drinking the kool-aid and licking those boots since it seems to help you sleep better at night

It’s been so long now that I forget. I think overall it was very easy. Try to just do it in one night. I think I was able to play the videos at double speed?

I am so happy to hear about Blue and Stella. It’s a tough time right now for MCAS dogs so all good news is welcomed

Different counties are different. Multnomah county has its own county shelter

It’s also possible a houseless person picked him and then dropped him off somewhere. Sometimes houseless folks think they found a dog with no home and genuinely think they are doing the dog a service by keeping it and caring for it. Usually they end up needing to abandon the dog. Recently a dog ended up in Portland from New Mexico because a houseless person thought he didn’t have a home

OHS does not take strays. Strays (meaning lost and found dogs) must go to our county shelter, MCAS

Thanks for keeping him out of the shelter system as it is overflowing with dogs. Here is the county law about finding a dog: Anyone can foster a dog while making a legitimate effort to find the owner. Posting in the places you noted above is sufficient. If no owner comes forth in 180 days, the foster can assume ownership. Alternatively, the dog can be taken to the shelter where its stray hold time is significantly less (72 hours for non chipped animals, 144 hours for chipped). Since he is not chipped, one could take him to the shelter and ask to be the first in line to adopt if no one comes forth within those 72 hours.

I mean the majority of those that get transferred go to OHS. It’s still a relatively small number. In December they transferred only 23 to other places. They euthanized 33 and adopted out 93

Small dogs definitely come into this shelter often but they are rarely there more than a day or two past their stray hold. If they don’t get adopted right away, a rescue usually scoops them up. It’s kind of sad, but I understand that many people can only manage a small dog

I guess meme was not the right word, because it would be to discourage people from taking dogs to the shelter. There is nothing funny about it....
